Hi to all,
does anyone has any informations about the Company who produced the Ultimate Tip Tool.

Thanks from Germany

Andreas

Damn, the Ultimate will definetly be missed. Being a relatively new store, I'm kinda bummed we missed the opportunity to carry it. Well, it's no 5-in-1, but there's always the handy-dandy, multi-tasking, dual-sided Cue Cube , a pretty reliable Shaper/Scuffer.

adieder just asked a question about the company. Can you confirm that it has gone out of business?

Thanks,
Jim

No more "Ultimate Tip Tool"? If that's not a sign of the industry in trouble, I don't know what is.

Where does it say the company went out of business or it is actually being discontinued besides at the top of this thread as a question?

APT - Advanced Pool Technologies was a sponsor of the Viking Tour from 1996-2003.

The last contact I have for them is:

APT- Advanced Pool Technologies
916 10TH Street
Milford, IA 51351
ph: 800-345-5204
fax: 712-338-4810
contact: Dave Gossman

I just tried calling the #rs and the 800# rings but I received no answer or message machine.

The fax # works to.

I had heard that it went out of business from someone that has a pool/billiards supply shop. I can not find anything online about this though.

You can buy them from, Mueller in Nebraska. Item # is CT-10.

I just searched Mueller for "ultimate" "ultimate tip tool" and "ct-10" none of which resulted in the ultimate tip tool...

Am I missing something here?

You mean that useless gadget I have tucked away in a box someplace is going to be come a rare collector's piece? :)

Gave the web-site for Mueller, and the item # from the Hard Catalogue.

What do you prefer? The UTT is the only one I have ever really liked...Aside from 'Brad' anyway, but that was in the pre-layered tip days.

so does anyone know who has the refill kits in stock , might be a good time to pick one or two up.

Oh, a piece of medium to coarse sandpaper in my case seems to work just fine. I find I rarely need even that.
Trying to burnish with the UTT is suicide for your ferrule. Everything else is concerned with shaping or roughing, the sand paper does the trick.
I own virtually every gadget they've sold just because I can't resist a new gadget, I really think they were all a waste of money.

Not so useless...

It makes an excellent bottle opener for those non twist off beers.
