Same here, can't rep Blue Hog ridr again yet either. Add me in to the club that thought OP's response to reasonable feedback from buzzmc was way out of line. And also add me in to the club that didn't see the point of the thread before he had heard back from the guy either for that matter. What's the point when you don't know yet how it is going to be handled, but you will know very soon? If the guy comes through with flying colors then after the fact I can see a "what a great guy go so and so is with fantastic customer service" thread, or if he doesn't come through I could see a "horrible experience with so and so" thread, but right now I didn't personally see the point.
And honest mistakes happen. Maybe the cue guy did bump it and just didn't notice. Maybe he even saw it and thought it was just a piece of plastic stuck to the cue just like the OP thought ("it was still intact until I thought it was a piece of plastic or something and it fell off"), but the piece of plastic hadn't fallen off yet, or he just didn't bother to brush off the piece of plastic like the OP did, whichever the case.
If the OP feels like it was an intentional scam as he claimed why not just name his name? How the cue guy handles it after he got caught scamming and is confronted about is immaterial to whether he should be named. If he was truly attempting to scam you he should have been named. I have a suspicion that the OP also knows it could actually easily be something else other than intentional (even though he lambasted the guy with accusations of intentional scamming) and that is why he wasn't named. That makes the initial accusations even more out of line.
And finally, I highly doubt somebody who refinishes cues, and just refinished this one to brand new perfect condition finish, is going to send it back to you like this, and hope that you don't notice it. That sounds pretty dumb to me. What he would do if he did the damage and realized it is he would refinish it again as it is in his possession, and that is what he does. It sounds very probable that the cue guy never realized or noticed it, and there is even a slight possibility that it arrived back to him that way to begin with.
And to the OP. What was wrong with the first wrap job that it had to be redone, and what kind of wrap was it?
