Through the years I've always done the wrap around the block method with great results. as more and more collectors are buying my cues , I know that they want to see a true miter. I have tried and done every method out there. I have the table saw with the 90 degree blade . I can give you at least three reasons why it does not work for me. 1 it tears the on the outside top of the miter cut. 2 when folded its off 2 degrees in to much. yes I could have the blade reground , but when doing anything over 4 veneers it runs out of blade angle. next I did them in the mill I had tear out , wrong angle and takes to dam long. last I went to the table saw and set a fence set up, it did ok. I got the miter angle right but fighting the downward pressure and keeping tight to the fence is a pain . I tried thin 2 sided tape , spary glue worked the best a little on the bottom of the pusher I could do about 8 strips and then it ran out of stick. i found the more downward pressure the better the cut . so I came up with this all I have to do is glue up 6.5 inches of veneer for 4 total veneers .cut .800 wide strips in the band saw and away. it cuts a miter so good you might think it was laser cut. I did the process of it in picture order. I will build these on demand also it will include a new mini saw , this saw is not cheep. the set up will be priced as far as i can.
