I've been thinking about picking up a Layani for some time. So I noticed this one on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Layani-custom-cue_W0QQitemZ7236464846QQcategoryZ21212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Layani-custom-cue_W0QQitemZ7236464846QQcategoryZ21212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But this statment made me LMAO: "Both shafts are ready to be retipped and could use a cleaning.

I AM NOT trying to disparage the seller nor the cue. It's just that the shafts look like they were dipped in blue dye, so the "could use a cleaning" statement was humorous. :p :p

No one has mentioned Layani's in a while - any feedback on them??

Layani's cues are well constructed. You do get a lot of cue for the money. The feeling is very solid. I haven't used my for over a year but I think it makes more of a thud than a ping. The shafts have a stiff taper. It is not a forgiving cue. The English really takes. If you do not hit dead center on a long straight in shot you will miss.

I have a solid cocobolo one with a stack wrap that I'm quite pleased with. I find myself picking it up more often than most of my other cues, and it is the one I usually take with me when i'm not playing at home. I also obtained an early predator shaft for it from a friend with a layani, and I hear the only way to get a predator shaft fitted for the joint is through layani at a whopping $320.00 USD for it.
