Unique Bender’s @ IndyQ

Was wondering what folk thought of the Bender’s being offered @ IndyQ

" The Bead Game"

i likes it. it has excesses, but it's very clean work, sharp, nice colors. looks like a palmer on steroids. i'd buy it

" Cabin Fever "

i don't like "pichurs" in my cues

" Points of Beauty "

it's been done before. nothing excessive

Awesome or Overkill?

bender is not an exsessive kinda a guy, imo. he's got a conservative heart

In my opinion, I think "The Bead Game" is the most incredible piece of work, I have ever seen, over 6,000 inlays, tiny little gold dots. Awesome!! That took some major patients. Many Hours have gone into that cue.

The craftmanship is awesome, as with all Benders I've seen. But of these three I only like "Points of Beauty", because the others have just too much glitter to them IMO. The execution is perfect.

I have been drooling over these for some time now.....and the Points of beauty looks exactly like the one Highendcues was selling, except Ken's one had more inlays to it. Agreed, that is the nicest one though. The Bead Game one would look great in a jewellery museum!

Bender's work is Flawless, as a friend has a Bender that is Amboyna Forearm & Butt with not too much Ginger Bread. Just some Gold & Ivory Ring Work that is almost to beautiful to believe. He was trying to sell it a while back, but the photos the dealer posted of it just could not reproduce what the Naked Eye sees in person.

awsome work and design, but a cue I'd bring for play..
unless I wanted someone try to steal it from me while I gone for NO.1;)

alot on the market

why would a cue maker put soo many cues on the market at one time? doesnt that hurt the value? and I was told that the three cues were sold before the cue collector show? maybee he made 2 of each?

The " Points of Beauty " cue looks a lot like the one HighEndCues has for sale here http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=25725

I'm i big fan of Benders work and would love to own one of his cues but those 3 are i little over the top for me.

I own the "Points of Beauty"..... I bought it from Mike Bender at the Florida International Cue Collectors Show a few monthes ago ... I sent it back with Mike Bender to add all the 14kt Gold and Lapis inlays....
That picture on Indy Cues is of my cue without the inlays( don't know why it's there)... I'm pretty sure MINE is the only one.....
As far as I know the other 2 cues (Beads and Hawaiian) were sold already also...
I have a call into Mike to find out what the story is...

Call Roy and Ask, but he is Kind of a STRANGE Character if you get my drift. like a Salesman of Equines.:D

Roy a srtange guy???? I dont beleive it!!! On another note the Bender cues are simply beautiful and well executed although way to fancy for my tastes ... I would have to say these cues are not ones you would take to the local poolroom to play with...:)

I tried to work a Trade Deal with Roy ONCE, as he had a Mike Capone Cue that I would have like to have. I felt like I was on a CAR LOT, as every time I blinked the Roy's Numbers Changed....

I like looking at his Web-site as he has some nice stuff, but that Trade Deal was a Total Turn Off....

While there is no denying Bender's quality, the playability of his cues are simply awesome. He knows a lot about playing pool and what you may need in a cue from a player's standpoint. Waiting for my third Bender.

I like the precision in which all of his cues seem to be built.

JoeyA (wouldn't leave home without my Bender even if I was going to the Sport Palace) and yes it goes to the bathroom with me. :-)

I take cues to the bathroom with me- I figure it is better than having it stolen. Just a habit I have had for a long time.

In re Bender- I have one on order from Roy. I think it is a fair price- I am also getting it sooner. I was also on the list- no complaints- but I figure that if I am getting it sooner then it may be worth the extra $ that it cost me, if any.

I have a plain ebony cue on order with silver ringpack and ivory ferrules. Just under 1200. I did not know the prices of Bender- but I figured that Roy's price was pretty close to what Bender himeself quoted me in re the pointed cue I was in line for.

Hello,
I spoke to Mike Bender today... I can now answer all the emails I've been receiving about this subject...
None of the 3 BIG Bender's were sold to IndyQ... Nor are they for sale by IndyQ...
I own the "Points of beauty" and I know the collector that owns the "bead game" and "Cabinfever"
These 3 cues are one of a kind and aren't being offered for duplication... Mike hasn't made 2 of any of them...
There is no A$K price from IndyQ... He is just posting pictures for some reason..
My cue "points of beauty" has Gold inlays that were added to it.. You can see it in my post..
