Im in western Canada,all you Canadians this is a good chance to pick up a top taper for a low price,when cuemakers show pics of thier shops im always surprised how many have tapershapers.My bill says shipping was $169.00 but i will pay half to US address.

give it a bump for a price drop $2500.00. joe barringer was the first to offer me a solid $2000.00,good old joes always first to try to get a deal.I hope the cue buisness has not gotton that bad.It is a great machine but this is as low as i can go.

If you look the archives, the last several have gone around 1700(I don't remember exactly what I paid, but no more than that I am sure. No router but that is not a 300.00 difference). I don't think Joe is out of line at all, especially if you contacted HIM.
Regardless of personal feelings some have about Joe here, I don't think it is proper to infer or otherwise, by name, that any particular person is a cheapskate. We are all cheapskates here and nobody deserves to be set apart. :grin:

i dont see any brand new never set up in a shop taper shapers for sale,can you show me one for $1700.00,i cant find one,i just read about a guy who bought a lathe with a whole lot of issues,with mine there would be no issues.when i bought mine i looked at a lot of used ones but decided to pay the price for new, if i wouldnt have got sick i would stll be happy

First and foremost, I am sorry you got sick.
I have one for the price I mentioned and if UPS hadn't treated it like a football it would have been fine.. It was the second I looked at for that amount. Joey had another that I was going to and should have bought since I could have picked it up personally. Why don't you contact Unique and ask them if, under the circumstances they would buy it back from you at your current asking price?
There are many people here that don't like Joe. Regardless, if you contacted him, got upset at his offer and then decided to use him as an example........eh. You never mentioned and since he makes it know he buys used....
Try calling ANY machinery dealer and see what they will offer for a full size machine. It ain't pretty.
I wish you the best, but when you sell something it is best to stick with the laurels of your product and not with calling your demographic names. The economy is in the toilet and most people can't afford to spend more than they even THINK they have to.
im not interested in joe, first day i had it on he emailed me an offer, i said no. i have better offers but still not my price,its paid for and if i dont sell my family can deal with it.if they give it away i wont know
