Hi Nick,

I'll answer what I can...

1. Ivory substitute - smooth can't see any fiber like phenolic
2. ABS or ivory substitute - not Delrin or cloth phenolic, off white color
3. 1 1/2"
4. 4 1/4"
5. Looks like regular SS 3/8-10 pin, rounded on tip
6.& 7. It had a bumper that was held in with an Allen head screw/washer the bumper was in bad shape and when the refinish was done, the replacement bumper is now a push in (probably with a little glue), Allen head is gone.
8. About 3 1/2" from tip of veneers to joint ring (points are a little uneven)

What's your read, Nick?

Regards,

Steve

i am no expert but the butt sleve of the cue looks identical to a jensen a friend of mine has. i am sure many cue makers can make a butt sleve like that, but when i saw the auction i thought it was my friends jensen..

Steve,
I'm trying to remember all of the previous thread..... did you rule out a Heubler custom? Did Scot have any ideas when he refinished it?

Thanks for the info

When I saw the cue I thought it was a Rizzo. If it were that would be 1800 easy but he used ivory everywhere. Richard black would know for sure. But that is probably not because of the ivory substitute! If there is a nylon insert in the shaft it is likely a Huebler. If not Jensens have even points but it might one of mikes. Call and ask him. Nick

Interesting that you mention Jensen. It did have a buzz ring under the wrap...

Didn't rule out Huebler, Scott... Bryan actually refinished it and told me about the buzz ring. No real clue, though.

I love a good mystery!

Steve
