When I first saw the fat red veneers I thought Karl Mayer. But none of the rest of it looks right for his standard work.

Maybe the bump will get something.

Huebler did do some wide/double veneers. Hard to tell from the OP’s picture but the pin install doesn’t look real clean.
Here’s a Huebler with the wide veneers.

Is that a brass insert I see in the shaft?? Also look at the tight grain in the butt at the joint. Somebody picked a damn nice old growth chunk for that one. I'll buy it if it's for sale.
I was thinking Heubler as well, until I saw that brass. Now I'm scratching whatever else I got that's itchin'.

I have two older Hueblers (Renaissance Series) that have brass inserts in the matching shafts instead of nylon. I've always assumed that maybe it was an option offered...

I really don't think it's a Huebler.

Very nice cue. Nice wood. The points and veneers show some flaws, as well as the face where the pin and collar are set. The work is less than "clean".

IMHO if a Huebler shaft has a brass insert, it either isn't a Huebler shaft, or it was modified. I would ask Terry Bajorek about that.

I agree. The quality of the “decorative“ parts and joint work make me think of a talented local guy, with some experience, trying his hand at cue making. If we know the region where the cue was made or even purchased, it might help.

I agree. I don’t think it’s a production cue.

I was just looking at the points and although i'm sure its not, but the points almost look like they been sharpied ala Eddie wheat.

the rubber bumpers are common. I have 5-6 in a drawer right now.

the but cap looks like delrin to me. I would think that might be helpful.

I agree except with the sharpie part. I put the pics up on my big monitor and the veneers look genuine.
