Unknown cue please help

A buddy of mine let me take pics of this cue tonight. He was in the Philly area in the early 1980`s.
Was playing a guy that was in his mid 60`s. They were playing small sets and this guy didn`t have the cabbage to pay him so he gave my buddy this cue. My buddy has no idea what he has or who made it. I`m asking for any help from you azers as to the make, model, year and who the cue maker was that made this cue. There is a weight bolt as shown in 1 of the pics, but I did not try to remove it. Thanks for any help you all can provide me with.

Looks like National, Meucci family, maybe into Huebler or Gandy type or one of those associated makers. There are such cues like that in the 70 to 75 era that are hard to peg. Looks like finish over wrap which was more of a Meucci thing.

What is the shaft insert material? Brass? Aluminum? Nylon?

Butt cap, joint, and shaft look Meucci. Maybe early foray. Too much wood showing otherwise.

Thanks Chopdoc I need to look at the shaft insert next time I see the cue. Sorry for the bad pics, the wrap has no clear on it, just glare from the pool light over head. When I 1st looked at the cue last night, I thought by the way the butt cap was with circle/ring and the long blk butt cap, I was also thinking early Meucci as well. Thanks for all the help so far. These mystery cues are fun to look at and fun to research.
