Unknown cue that looks like a McDermott M29B for trade

Wow - tough way to make a deal when the cue is unknown. I really wouldn't know where to start as far as value goes. Maybe you should come up with a figure you think the cue is worth.

This does not appear to be a McDermott cue. It is close to a M29B but the pattern is too different. The forearm is wrong and the spacing of the points is off. The M29B has 6 points alternating with 6 turquoise inlaid points. This cue seems to only have 4 and 4. But this is just my observations and your mileage may vary.

Probably an Asian clone, you can find them for many popular cues on ebay.

This model retails for $1200+, nobody pays retail and I subtracted due to the butt cap not being consistent with appears to be original. Apologies for the early bump but thought the explanation might help all prospective buyers

could you send me a link that states the retail price of $1200 for this unknown cue? or are you basing it off the McDermott model retail price?

I never claimed it to be a M29B but specifically stated it looks like one

Pete is a good guy IMO
But to clear this up...........

Pete take some close up pictures of : Joint . Pin. But cap. Bumper. Bumper removed . Then post them all and there are great guys here that can help you trying to see who made the cue

Hope this helps ......all the best my friend ........Chris

I have seen copies of the McD...marketed by one of the Phillipino cuemakers. Last one I saw was on Ebay a couple of years ago.

Guys -

This guy appears to me is trying to be as honest as possible.

I don't know him from Adam, but if you are interested PM him with offers or comments.

If they guy was trying to pull one on my AZ brothers I would be all over him too, but to me he has been upfront with description, etc.

Best of rolls,

Ken
