Is lam (laminates) the same as a veneer?

Do you have a price for the so called 9 pointed cue?

Thanks

According to those prices a cue with with the 3 laminates and A and B rings would be $1825. 7 years from now it will be about $2575 if the prices increased 5% every year. Kind of expalins why they are now selling in the $2000+ price range.

I'm guessing that it does. A cue with no wrap requires more good looking wood than a cue that has something plain for the handle (which is covered by the wrap).

Yes, I would say a laminate means the same as a veneer, since a laminate is something attached to the outside of something else and usually increases it's attractiveness. (in this case, the points).

Probably have to contact SW directly to price a 9 pointer, although, IMO, a cue with more than 6 gets too busy, and you can not have the attractive veneers on it as much. Plus, I think the points with more than 6
have to be too thin, and deters from the overall beauty of the cue.

My vote would be no. Unwrapped can mean that it had a wrap at one point or is grooved for some type of wrap (leather or linen) but the cue does not have one currently on. So the cue is designed to have a wrap on it, but one has not been put on.

To me, Wrapless means that the cue was designed to not have any type of wrap at all.

By the so called 9 pointed cue I am referring to a 6 pointer that has recuts in the 3 longer points.

As an example.
