UPA Year End Banquet/Board Member Update

Hello All,

In years past, immediately following the awards presentation at the UPA Year End Banquet, there would be a "state of the union" / year in review type of speech given where any updates and/or changes to the organization are also announced.

I am sorry to say, this tradition was not carried on. Immediately after the awards presentation, the attendees were all directed to attend the UPA Poker Tournament downstairs.

It was there I was hoping that a public announcement of my resignation as the UPA Director of Marketing / Player Board Member would be made.

Since that did not happen, this statement will serve as such.

My original 2 year (actually 27 months) commitment as a UPA Player Board Member has come to the end of its term. Though I did have the option to continue on in my role as Player Board Member, I personally chose to resign my position. I know of no one slated as my replacement.

As a UPA Board Member, I learned a great deal from this “eye opening” experience.

I wish the UPA my best and I will continue to support the organization strictly as a Touring Pro Player.

The remaining player board members as I know it are; Charlie Williams and Tony Robles.

I assume that this is a good move for you, personally, Corey. Congratulations on that and enjoy the "extra" time!

It's definitely the UPA's loss. Corey is not only professional but he's courteous and a pleasure to be around. Any organization would be lucky to have him on board.

Corey, are you going to focus soley on Tiger Products or do you have another adventure planned to replace the time you put towards your UPA duties?

Timberly, thanks for the kind words.

Tiger Products is my 9-5 gig and that will remain, but I'm a pool player and with all the other stuff it was very easy to lose focus of that.

No more politics.

Just a pool player again, with the best yet to come.
