Hello All,
In years past, immediately following the awards presentation at the UPA Year End Banquet, there would be a "state of the union" / year in review type of speech given where any updates and/or changes to the organization are also announced.
I am sorry to say, this tradition was not carried on. Immediately after the awards presentation, the attendees were all directed to attend the UPA Poker Tournament downstairs.
It was there I was hoping that a public announcement of my resignation as the UPA Director of Marketing / Player Board Member would be made.
Since that did not happen, this statement will serve as such.
My original 2 year (actually 27 months) commitment as a UPA Player Board Member has come to the end of its term. Though I did have the option to continue on in my role as Player Board Member, I personally chose to resign my position. I know of no one slated as my replacement.
As a UPA Board Member, I learned a great deal from this “eye opening” experience.
I wish the UPA my best and I will continue to support the organization strictly as a Touring Pro Player.
The remaining player board members as I know it are; Charlie Williams and Tony Robles.
