I got a phone number from a fellow AZ er and it turned out to be Chris Woods uncle. He talked to Chris and Chris's Dad and Chris claims he never received the cue. The cue that he told me that he loved when he received it on Monday at 12:49pm per USPS tracking numbers and his own admission. With this news I have no other recourse but to go to the Police. In the meantime I would appreciate is any of you who have dealt with him in the past could try and call him and talk some sense into him, I just want my cue back and we can forget this mess ever happened. Chris Wood, (256) 677-3276 Cell, he's not answering my calls, but maybe if enough people left messages he might rethink things. Thanks for all your help in this matter.
Sincerely,
Greg

If this is true and he wasn't in jail before, he sure deserves to be now if he doesn't send it back to you. Good luck. That sucks.

Well, I'd call his Uncle back and see about sending him copies of the proof of delivery, etc. and see if the Uncle can talk with his dad and, have them talk some sense into him  Good luck! :frown:

When mistakes happen, thats life but when people give you this type
of grief on purpose totally pisses me off.
Trust is the only thing this forum has with buying and selling and a nice
hard bat upside his head might reboot his brain to start thinking
logically again.
Goodluck, don't let it spoil your holidays.

I am a power seller on ebay and these types of mail scams happen all the time when the buyer claims they never got the item even though tracking shows delivery, a small tip would be whenever you ship an item over $250 make sure you require a signature and you can also designate that only the ACTUAL buyer sign for the cue and nobody else,,, this solves all problems with this type ofscam. The buyer is lying no doubt as i have seen this scam countless times. The unfortunate part is that it is very hard to get your money back even in court as his defense will be it must have got stolen. One thing you have on your side is he does attest to initially getting the cue.... Good luck with this

Greg,
The postal service has a quick answer to situations like this. It's called the postal inspection service. If he received with a usps tracking # he's in violation of FEDERAL law. That inspection service doesn't fool around! Combine local police with them and I would think this dirtbag will feel the squeeze. You and he had a reciprocal trade that he failed to complete and that constitutes a contract. Don't let this dirtbag off the hook, and I'm sure everyone is forewarned in dealing with him if anyone would be that naive. I sincerely hope you are made whole and enjoy the holidays.

he should come to his senses before law enforcement interferes. this is unfortunate.

Suggestion

How about everyone on the forum call him and his uncle 2 times per day until he returns it.

If you do this, you had better have a way for your phone number to NOT show up on their phones, or you may get contacted by the FCC for phone harassment.

Maniac (would use the USPS authorities or contact the police in the crook's hometown)

Thanks

Thanks John! I don't plan on just letting this go. My family, My kids and grandkids won't let me have a bad holiday. They're all that matters. Thanks again.

The dirtbag was online today at 12:35! I believe the moderators should suspend his participation here until this matter is resolved!
I also think it is time to leave a negative feedback so no one else gets burned!
