I tried to talk to Mike "Frost" Farley tonight, but all he could do was tell me that we aren't friends right now, for some reason. I don't understand this guy at all! He thinks that people are choppin him up, and he get's into it with Jason, who is one of the most honest, straight up guys in the pool scene. What is really goin on? I don't think Mike really has a reason to be upset with anyone here. Iowa is alot different than Jersey or the carolina's, or wherever he is from. We have good, honest, hard working, and intelligent people here. There aren't a lot of suckers here, not to say that there are any anywhere else. I just don't get how Mike has so many issues with people here. There is a way to stir up action but at the same time having respect for everyone. He has only been in town two months, and he has stirred up a lot of action. I think he has also made some people mad with his tactics. No matter what you accomplish, you only get respect by earning it. Around here I think you need to put in your time before you get that respect from people. I will never claim that I have everyone's respect, because I am far from perfect. I have made mistakes and will make mistakes, but I truely want the best for this place and everyone in it.
Like I said, I tried tonight to talk to Mike tonight, but he wouldn't talk to me at all. Honestly, I think Mike is upset with me because I wouldn't give him free pool time. He expected that I should give him all these perks because he brings all the people to the pool hall. I can't do that like the other place he talked about, because it's not my place to do that. If anyone has been here, they know that one guy doesn't make this place. I don't make this place what it is. It's the players that make this place what it is. Each person that comes in here is just a small part of what makes this place great! I love this pool hall and everything that goes along with it. This place has character and characters. Gotta love it!!
I have told Mike a few times that I appreciate the fact that he has stirred up the pool scene in Des Moines. It's just good for everyone!
As far as the best player in town goes, I think we should have a playoff to see who is. Marc had a great idea there. We should set something up for July when we have the action match. If all the top players in town are up for it, we will definately set this up for that week. Should be a lot of good pool played by all that week!!

UmmmK pumpkin. Here's the deal your mouth is outta control. Can you possibly count how many times I have been involved in stupid petty things between me and you, i lost track myself. Even that night after Troy cursed you out for letting Travis pull that D-Bag move to us. You wanna squeeze nickels out of the patrons but what do you do when theres no patrons to squeeze out of.
I was saying what you ought to do about some perks. Now I want nothing at all because believe me I'll be spending right next to nothing for a looong time. I exercise an incredible amount of self restraint and patience with you because I dont wanna get banned, things you have said about my friend, some pop comments towards me, and the general way you run the joint sometimes is a lot to handle.
Think about it, you run the pool hall, I ask you to put a tip on for me because you are Mr. Cue Repair also, and you shrug me off and say no cuz you gotta warm up for a $7 tournament. How would you like it if you were me? Are you there to be a player or run a business? Customers need to come first not your practice time. Don't think I don't hear what you say eventhough you don't say it to me, cuz I do. The town is full of snitches and instigators so I've heard all the bullshit you have spewed. You cant keep sayin shit to seem cool in front of lots of people, then come and privately explain yourself and apologize. To me that draws a line in the sand, so even if you do it to stick up for some people or whatever, you made me feel the way i do towards you. I'd prefer if you didn't even acknowledge me, you shouldnt feel comfortable speaking to me anymore, if/when you do actually see me and you wanna talk know that I don't.
All this honest guys here and yada yada yada...pool is a dirty sport. It's a gamblers game. Easy to fix and hard to prove the fix is in. I told the bartenders last night that you claim you don't need my business, know what all 3 of them said..."who cares WE need your business". You know why that is, when I buy others drinks I make them tip the bartender, when I'm done drinkin almost always a $20 or better altogether between cash and card. You might not miss me but your employees will. I even tip the guys like Travis and all he does is give me a rack of balls. You didnt cause the situation but you helped take it to the next level.

I have no idea what you are talkin about Mike. I have never said the things that you just posted. I don't need to explain myself anymore to you, because none of that is true. I'm not sure what your beef is with me, because I have never started anything with you. I have a lot of people tell me what they think I should be doing, and I listen to there suggestions. Some of them are good ones, and can be used to benefit the business, and some are bad ones, because some people just want everything for free. I have never said anything along the lines of we don't need your business. What I said was that you don't bring all the business in here. I like having you in here, and haven't said otherwise. Whatever your problem is with me, you should come and talk to me, so we can put it to rest and move on. This is gettin out of hand, and there is no reason for it. Yeah wasnt talking about you at all. You did say whats up, I was feeling bad for John at that point though. He's a good kid and for less money the games prolly would have been closer. I think the money and pressure kind of got to him whereas you were just in action and starting to settle in.
