While I can agree with the previous two postings -- and it's great to hear there are going to be some top notch tables again -- I think there is one thing that could be pointed out.:grin-loving:
It would be nice to see some communication or updates of their progress. I think that DM is thirsty for a pool hall and having the Big Dog missing has been tougher than might have been imagined. A couple simple facebook / Az thread posts would sate most of our curiosity into the progress of opening back up. I wouldn't read the impatient comments as bashing, as more our desire to have them back open so we can again engage in games in the "Green Felt Jungle"
Businesses are tough to start, and I imagine tough to move existing locations with or without the massive slates to be handled. But I would consider 30 minutes spent with a computer / camera or a smartphone to be extremely important in the PR game. A couple posts / blogs/ threads on the progress would inveriably keep the rumor mill quiet and sate the inquiring minds.
But I guess all considered, people will show up anyway -- and those that are there to bang and swill aren't too hard to please - and the rest will be there because there isn't an alternative.
I wish them success and hope that it's a nice place to play and I know that I will want to be there more than I should. I miss being able to streatch out a bit without banging into walls, chairs, kareoke singers and the like.
Having a real pool hall will be nice again.:joyful:
Fast Eddie: No bar?
Cashier: No bar, no pinball machines, no bowling alleys, just pool... nothing else. This is Ames, mister.
