Update on the Des Moines pool scene

No idea if Phil was drinking, they called me on the phone at midnight, I didn't go last night, and I think they wanted to know if I wanted any of it. At the advice of Pet I decided to stay out of it. Plus still a little sour over that "incident" with Phil that night. Add that to Jody coming off of a loss and Oely off a win...no thanks sir!

From what i hear, Jody and Phil won playing 9 ball. Then they switched to 8 ball and Marc and Jon won. Phil was drinking, and had gotten too drunk, dont know if this hampered the 8 ball sets.
They broke even.

I know what you mean.....Every since he appeared to dump on the whole room at the Derby I have'nt had much respect for the guy.....maybe that had something to do with my attitude towards him...Hmmm...Maybe!
Not a shock, about what I would expect...Jody should stay away from 8 ball, clearly not his game. I sure know that feeling except I never learned to play it so I dont much care. I might let Richardson tudor me in the art of 8 ball.
Do you think he charges by the game or? Friend's discount? Let's say someone spits on his wall, do they get charged more then the normal Joe Schmo? Sorry J, couldn't resist.
If i wanted lessons i would ask someone who John Metzger (i know) doenst bark at to play even.
If spitting on the wall gets a discount then damnit get the paper towels ready and load the shotgun haha. I genuinely dislike the game of 8 ball. I like it right up until the point in a game where a guy misses shape but still has 4 balls to shoot at and still makes his out. That pisses me off.
How can that piss you off more than, I MISSED SHAPE in 9 ball and hit it as hard as i could.........it hit 2 more balls, and one of them knocked the 9 in the side ?
I almost feel like in 8 ball it happens every rack...9 ball or 10 ball it happens but not nearly as much, plus I like those games so I give it a free pass. I actually dislike any non rotation game. I'm an ass like that.

I spent the entire Tuesday outside at a plant site in Mt. Pleasant...I was wayyyyy too hot and exhausted by the time I got home to stir some stuff up. We do have a new visitor in town though. I know lots bout the guy, he's gonna love it here(or not)
