There is nothing i can say to make you feel differantly, so whats the point?
Pet and i dont run multiple racks, we make mistakes. We are not considered the top players in town. If i were you i would be pissed you let your horse get into a game you thought was out of line and your boys told you was out of line. These things happen in pool and gambling and i would think with all the talk about high action you've been around you could take a hit.
I lost $1000 betting on Jamie against Phil did you hear me pissing and moaning about it ? I told phil good shooting and shook your hand.
OK let me break down this so I can put it to bed. I hope this comes together and sounds logical. It probably won't but let me give you some insight and I probably shouldn't say some of this but I'm going to anyway but I'll be vague in certain spots.
For whatever reasons(there are plenty) Pet wanted me to stake him against you for the full amount and in return Pet did not want a dime of the money in the event of a win. OK so Pet is totally playing for free. You be the judge?
Next after you guys agree on Table 19 by way of coin flip, I tell you I'm gonna pull up if you guys don't change tables. I ask him to get you to play on Table 29 because the night before we practiced on Table 29 and Pet shot lights out, so I know he was comfortable with the equipment. He broke well and ran out from everywhere the night before. Now how you end up agreeing to play on Table 29 I don't know the full details, I do know you didn't want to but changed your mind somehow. So far two things are off.
Even better I argue with you about the 6 being wild on break(it should be, but I'm trying to take every advantage I can away since I'm betting) and you counter with you'll break from the same side 6 ball is placed on in other words making it impossible to make cross side. You basically took the wild 6 advantage away before the game even started, I thought I liked that but it was too easy to get you to do so now we have three things off about this game and the first ball isnt even hit.
To really screw you I make Pet get you to agree on placing the 7 and 8 balls on the wings of the rack. So when you break you are likely to make the 7 or 8 which plays against your spot. You should have been trying to put the 2 and 3 balls on the wing to increase your spot especially in rack your own. Now when you agreed to this coupled with you breaking from the same side as the 6 your spot is severely cut. I might say the game you were playing was much closer to the call 7 and no where near a true wild 6 game. You agreed once again in record time, that makes 4 things off about this game before a ball is hit.
I already chronicled the ball in hands, miscues, and hung balls that were good for a minimum 7-8 game swing. I'm up to 5 things that were a little too weird for my comfort.
The next thing that was quite odd, is that most ahead sets kind of go back and forth. Pet would get you from down 5 to up 3 without winning a game and vice versa. It was almost like you guys were winning 3-5 games at a time before the other would win, not very common. That's 6 things.
Maybe it's all a coincidence, maybe I'm dissecting it too much. Maybe theres a good explanation for you being so agreeable to so many pre game curve balls. You should have gotten pure hustled yesterday instead I'm sick. Maybe I got hustled. If someone who knows the game could tell me how my guy, who should be an 80% lock to win giving the call 7 gets dusted and dismissed that easily I would love to know. My old lady even says you know you aint been here long at all they dont care about you. She thinks I got business done, I'm feeling like it was all too sketchy. I can't make this stuff up, this actually all happened.
If you know the game, without knowing the players, you know how it sounds. I know you Jason and Pet have great reps and probably have never done anything like that to anyone. Hell I have no proof but i have a nagging feeling in my gut that something was just off. I didn't go with my gut before but I learned a valuable lesson from it. Like I said before you read this and put yourself in my shoes and tell me what it looks like from the outside in. You played OK, but not good enough to carry that spot against Pet on a normal day and I think you know that. Maybe a true wild 6 you played good enough to win. But a reduced game where you got everything stacked against you and you still came out on top fairly easily. Leaves me with more questions than answers unfortunately. I think after you read this you might at least be able to see what I'm saying a little more clearly.
