I would be willing to give an ahead set a try Jason. You might have to spot me a few games though as last night you told me "You will NEVER beat me!!!" And I know the cue doesn't make that big a difference, BUT without my sword, I would just be donating. So, when Jeff O. gets my cue done, we can play some. That being said, wanna line up something for January? lol

League players can outplay gamblers with ease. Gamblers don't play pool, they bet on crap. If pool wasn't there, they'd be out at Prarie Meadows betting horses or slots...or KENO...ooooooooo, what skills they possess!
At least league players show up and play instead of woofing.

Jeff is not only a great cue maker he is also a great player. He possesses one of the most powerful strokes that I have ever seen...extreme draw shots, extreme follow shots, jump shots, masse...he can do things with the cue ball that a lot of players only dream about. It would be nice to see him out competing again!
Those were the kind of stories I had been hearing! It'd be good to see.

Agreed Mikey! I can't think any great players from DM that hasn't played a big part in pool leagues around here. How do you think our leagues got so big? Because 90% of the top notch players play in league and everyone in league has a chance to beat them without having to risk anything monetary.(yes, I get the concept that just because you beat someone in league, doesn't mean you are better than them!) But most of the average players in league think on a different level. BTW, my record against Donny McCoy in league is 2wins,1loss !!! :yeah:
Oh man, it was crazy!! First we wanted to start out just playing for $10 and a drink a man and then the guy with the Olney started to pipe up and called Brian out for $20 a game but only heads up. Brian got scared so he left. So Tom and I played him and "muskrat"? "squinny"? "hamster"? hell I can't remember the other guys name! All I know is Tom and I walked away from there with::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
a good lesson........ Any man that barks at Sambetti's MIGHT play for a beer, but when you ask him if he wants to REALLY play something, he gets as quiet as a church mouse!
