Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Brad is Ep Salt the best salt for my driveway? Also what tools do I need for the winter? Yes I am asking because I have not had to deal with snow while owning my own home EVER! I got issues son! Help a brother out.

start with purchasing a shovel. Either that or hook up with a RELIABLE neighbor kid and pay him well to do it for you!

If neither of those things are for you, then buy a snow blower and get your neighbor to show you how to run it.

And if that is not in your future, hire someone to plow your driveway and shovel your sidewalks.(side note, I don't do sidewalks!!!)

As for salt, your house is old enough that it is safe to use on your concrete but should only be used for icy spots and you should get the snow off first. Dennis, your lawn care guy does driveways and sidewalks but prolly is a bit more expensive than the neighbor kid!

Yes, some people won and some people lost. The world is ducking me.

I'll still take the 7.....

Who won and who lost? Talk to me man. Don't be vague damnit. We need the action report. I'll start.

Romeo, who drives an Escalade and The big Toyota pickup truck(forgot name) both fully loaded with every option who also plays with a $1800 Pete Ohmen cue, aired Jamie for a lousy $300. I'm sorry if you drive to the pool hall in a $30k-$50k vehicle and have over $2k worth of cues in your case you should be able to pull $300 out of the little slit on the tip of your D*CK. So add his ass to the air barrel list, I always thought he was laying it down waiting to hustle someone big time. I now know I am wrong. He took 3 weeks to pay Jody $80 as well.

Let's see what else do I have. Umm Pet and JB haven't played anymore.

There was no action Friday night. Troy Sowers was gonna give me 4 games on the wire and the breaks in race to 10 playing Bar box 8 ball, I told him to bet it all...he couldn't get staked because he was drunk I believe

Little Jimmy is supposed to be playing Pet even, don't know if that's gone off yet.

Jody still attempts to give me the 4 ball once every two weeks and I make him pay me when he loses. I will say he's playing really good on that big table. I think since he got his new lady friend things are looking up for him and he's feeling better and playing better. He's all happy and I am a miserable person.

I am thinking too hard on this post, someone just enlighten me on the latest ongoings...if u don't wanna post here as always you can text me.

Right On homie, I might try it myself. I don't mow grass, that ain't happening. However I do think I shovel snow and lay salt down. I'll give it a whirl for the rest of the month and if not I gotta get Dennis on it for me. Thanks for the info my man!

After that 4th or 5th big scoop of snow tomorrow, when your back is screaming,"WTF U DOING? JUST PAY THE 13YR OLD NEIGHBOR KID, YOU DUMBASS!", don't forget to tell yourself " Man, shoulda listen to B-rad!"

Iowa snow is no punk! Especially if we get 7"-12" like we're spose to get. And this is why I don't do sidewalks!!! :nono:

Mikey do what i do, get a table at your house, and have someone like mike baccus who does snow removal do your drive when it snows for lifetime free pool. only down side is i don't know if he lives here. he's here more than i am

9 hrs of plowing. going to bed now so I can find the table later! Matt, you need daddy to drive you to pool tonight so you don't get scared driving in the snow?
:poke:
didn't your classes get canceled today? We did get 2 inches of snow last night!!!

I would accept a ride, but don't want to stay till 4 AM:grin-angelic:

I got 4x4 - I ain't scared.:nanner:

No, but early line is none Wednesday with Early out Tuesday possible. Impecable timing to say the least.

Mikey -- get the $300 out of your #$%^ and put in $700 from your wallet and get a 27" snowblower with heated hood, headlights, swivel throw, electric start, powered wheels, dual stage throw and put the neighbor kid out of business. Or rent it to him at 3x operational cost....

12+ with 30-40 winds will be no joke. I personally like the neighbor kid, while I drink 'hot cocoa' watching from the recliner.:woot::dance:

Oh I miss the good old days with the crackheads in the neighborhood. They would fix your brakes, change your oil, change your tires, wash your car, mow the lawn, shovel snow, rake leaves for about a gram of rock.

I miss those fellas.

You may find the 'youngsters' in your 'hood' may be easily to coerce with a half case of Natty Light...:shocked2::speechless:

Pretty sure i own one of the largest snow blowers you can buy. Kills my back to use, but its not as bad as a shovel.

Nice Brad that you went out and charged people for 1" of snow, lol.

I think ill pass on sharing info about gambling that i know about. No matter what i say someone will be upset or try to start a fight about it. But yes the Romeo thing it true. <-- i only say this cause i dont give a shit if hes mad at me.

I played 6,000 hands of online poker this weekend and ended up about even, lol. Took some beats playing PLO that would make for good TV. The hands people are willing to go broke with amaze me. PS: top set in PLO is worthless, think ill just fold it from now on.

That's foul Brad, if you were one of my contractors I'd fire you. Get the boot and then take it up with our legal department to get the rest of your money cause Daddy ignores invoices from companies that get the boot.

The customer should not always get hustled man!

I gave psycho mycho some action last night. He gave me 9-7/8-7 in one hole and we broke even.

The place was pretty dead. They closed at 2. In the Sunday tournament, Mike B won the winners and left. Jamie and Daniel split and Henderson got 4th.

Good stuff Justin. Tell him you want 9-7 the whole way next time and you'll win the cash!!!!!

God I love the commaraderie Pool League provides! There's nothing like watching twenty games of eight ball on one table, all while asking, "Did Green Bay score? The intensity is overwhelming at times. But the adulation, and thrill of watching a teammates eight ball shot, slowly, methodically inch it's way towards the corner pocket, first hitting the side rail, then angling to the end rail, and finally after what seems an eternity rattling in the jaws before falling! What a bank! Oh, it's not bank but call shot. Good shot anyways! Hi fives! But hey, it's only 11:00 when it's over. Perhaps i could watch the remaining minute and a half of the football game, of which i have a hundy on. Come on Gary be a team player. There will be some action when it's done, if your awake. Allrighty, we won and who's matching up, two of my teammates. Eddie and whats her name, oh Rod. Eddie's rusty, playing even, race to 7, 9-ball for 50. Both are playing a little ragged, Rod's up a game or two throughout, and she finally closes it out at 7-4. Eddie's bummed, and takes off, knowing with even a little table time he should and will, win this match up. So Rodricka comes up to me and says lets go. Where I ask, as Eddie was my ride, to B-bops? No, 9 ball she retorted. Ok I said. She says I need a three game lead to seven. I said no, you apparently just need a loan. But because our team's so close knit , I said four games to nine, for 50, knowing the spot was probably too much. I'm thinking why not, That Rod is such a charmer. It was, i lose 9-8, and now i'm pissed getting beat by my coed teammate. So I said same spot, for a hundy. No she said, three games and race to seven, for 50, and I get the first break. Keep in mind Eddie has left, Rex didn't drive, Phil is, well being phil, and Rod is my ride. I rack em. I win the first four games, ready to get out the next one, and I hear her say "foul". Phil, who's watching says that was good. Rodricka breaks her cue down, calls me a cheater, etc... I said, "You little gay bastard, let's post 500 hundred and start over" Turns out I knew the cab driver. Can't wait for next Monday.

classic G-dog, classic! rep to you for finding the bonding glue that holds teams together. "AS THE WORLD TURNS SO ARE THE (POOL)LEAGUES OF OUR LIVES!

Mickey,

Plan on spending the whole day Wednesday outside shoveling. Your work/job is probably not gonna happen.

Get one of those shovels with the bent handle. Not good for 12" snows, but great for the 2-5" ones. Use it like a push shovel.

Take your cell phone outside with you in case your fall.

Sing Christmas caroles while the gusts of wind blow snow down your pants....that seems to help.
