My math is correct buddy. I'm an engineer remember that! There is 41 games to be played from $10-$50/game. If you don't think that equals $1230 I'd like to interest you in some ocean front property in Idaho!
Just because you are an engineer doesn't mean you can add, it just means you can use a scientific calculator and are fluent with AutoCad....lol. That is an inside joke with my self I guess....
Since we have nothing to discuss today I'd like to pose a question and get some feedback.
Do you think there is a difference between a "gambler" and a "pool player that will gamble"? Naturally the assumption is the "gambler" will bet on pool(playing or staking). Thoughts and opinions fellas...

1-800-betsoff told me that no matter how you spin it, gambling is gambling. I then bet someone I wouldn't place a bet for the next two weeks and then realized that was a bet so I lost.
Bump for feedback!
When I think of a pool player that will gamble, I think of the traditional tournament warrior. Likes the odds on their money from that perspective. Will bet a game of pool only if they have the nuts or ego involved. Won’t really bet the money on a game that’s close. These guys are typically really hard to match up with because what they want is usually 2 balls more than what they need. Likes the easy action and prefers to rob a cheap game than take a shot for more cash at a tough game. Typically avoids tough action. Not much potential to pump up on, you also won’t lose much with this group. Kind of people very happy to finish even or win a few bucks for drink money.
That’s really my take.
Option 2 almost seems like a locksmith minus the big $ part.
It's the guy who can win even in a tough fair game so they get the 8 and play some. The locksmith would get the 6 or 7 ball out of that scenario.
Sounds like hes also the smartest of the group![]()
On another subject, I've gotta tell you guys about league last week....I'll not mention names.
We're playing the #1 team, and halfway thru the match the cops come into Dogs. They look everybody up and down, obviously having a face in mind. They search the whole place and eventually leave.
The captain of the other team comes over and says, "So and so is going to have to forfeit his last two games...he had to leave suddenly." I laughed and asked if the cops had anything to do with that and he said 'yes.' Apparently he had been busted for pot and was to be at home by 8:00 pm but was at the pool hall instead. Somehow he got away or hid...not sure.
I said, well someone must've called the cops and he agreed but we couldn't figure out who did. lol
So, we beat the first place team and we're like next to last place.
Thanks, Des Moines cops for helping our team!! (I must rethink my anti-govt stances now.....)

LOL I seen that. There are lots of pot heads at big dogs and I know it's not right but they are seriously acting like the dude committed a level 3 felony. Your team is lucky he didnt get to finish, he's pretty strong.
