Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Brad put a list of games out there you will play Matt, with his Dale Perry, and I will stake him if you make it right. I know how it is when you have the gambling bug and just need to play a little.

That or you can feel free to play me 9-Ball or 10-Ball on any table. That's a heist I know, but I'll try it once before I ask for the 6-Ball.

No free ride on this end. I will never play someone without having the money, regardless if they say its ok, just not my personality. I PROMISE you we will play again sometime. I am no hurry to get in the box with the Dale Perry unless you are offering the 6 again. I do not like that cue, or the 13mm shaft size. I'm not trying to get pissy or duck you, but I also can't be talked into playing when I don't have the funds to do so.

Apparently my childish sense of humor isn't for your taste. Take a drink of water, wash it out and you let me know when your ready to play.

We agreed to play both 8 and 9. We played 9, now we can play 8.
Just fyi, I played you with a cue that I had for a week or two. But I agreed to play you on a certain date, so I did. I guess its cause I just like to gamble.(I understand everyone is different and some people need to feel comfortable)

I won't annoy you anymore. Let me know when you feel comfortable enough to play.

Thats lose/lose for me!!!

If I beat him, its cause he doesn't like his cue.
If I lose, I lost to you really not him
If I lose,I lost to him playing with a DP cue!(sorry, childish humor again!)

I want him to feel comfortable. Its not about money.

As for you and I, 9 ball on the bar box sounds fun. Hopefully we can get together and play soon. I got the Great Plains tourney this weekend, so maybe next week/weekend sometime? And maybe by the time we are done, I will be asking you for the 6!!!:yikes:
 
Oh come on now, taxes are coming... You won't have to air too long. Hell if Brad gives you the 6 again I will back ya too! Maybe all of your backers could split it like 16 ways, just to ease the financial pressure.......just kidding Brad.... If u give him that spot again, you may just want to put your money in Enron stock...lol

Valentines pool tourney - in honor of rhea

HELLO EVERYONE!

Sandy and I are working on a scotch doubles 8 ball tourney in honor of the late Rhea Williams:

Satruday February 13, 2010 - Sunday February 14, 2010
STIX in Windsor Heights

* Jack and Jill
* Calcutta at 6pm, Tourney at 7 - will run as much as possible, and if needed, finals Sunday
* Must be signed up by February 11, 2010
* $25 entry Fee
* NO GREEN FEES
*STIX is adding money per couple
* 100% Payback!


Should be a good tourney with money to be won and a good time had :)

How does not this Saturday, but the following Saturday the 30th work? Say early afternoon 1ish?

Lets play 3 sets total with you giving 3 on the wire to 9 (spot will not change for the 3 sets). Winner break, no 8 ball breaks (spot and continue to shoot or rerack), regular ball in hand, open off the break call pocket rules, scratch on the 8 is a loss, but not ball in hand on the 8 (missed kick etc). Anything else I am missing?

3 sets total $100 a piece. Let me know.

What about an ahead set? like 10 ahead? you go to 7 and I go to 10? Winner breaks, same rules. I've never played an ahead set. Sounds fun though. Just asking! You name the amount, we can play for what ever makes ya nervous...

I will confirm next week to make sure we(the wife!) dont have anything planned.

does any "ahead set" tickle your fancy or you set on playing what we origionally talked about?

If your set on playing just a race, thats fine. I've never played an ahead set though and thought it would be fun/different.

I think of more nine ball on ahead sets. I haven't really done one for money, just in practice and at the moment it doesn't tickle my fancy. Maybe round 3 we can do that.
