Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Damn that's gonna upset Pet. 9-Ball is kind of horrible especially on the little track. It's still so much better than Straight Pool and 8-Ball though! Those two games there make me want to break my cue.

Rob?? I scoff. I was merely try to coerce you into a dark alley where I could beat you over the head to remove your wallet. Forceable procurement is the term I like to use.

Rookie must be quite a mover and shaker - he was commentating on the stream quite a bit too. ;)

Mikey - being scared to try and knowing better are two different things. It's the old heart arguement they had going on here a ways back. Nothing wrong with testing limits, but knowing your limits is something else all together.

I don't think I am looking for 'something for nothing' (at least not all the time), but is a fair chance too much to ask for? For my $75 donation to the top players purse??

You're right on 9ft its not so bad.

Straight pool and 8 ball are 100 times better than 9 ball, lol. And i don't even like straight pool ! Seems people don't like a game where you have to call your pocket :D

I will still play 10 ball because you can't break and make 3/4/5 balls and run out and act like you're a pro.

Bruce likes em so much I gave em to him. I had two before I got yours.

Plus no one will use them in the pool hall during a tournament. Your right -- I break like a moster with the Magic Rack. haven't missed a wing ball in like 6 days. Or was it I haven't played in 6 days -- I can't remember. Bottom line is that they work good.

We should use the magic rack exclusively in the 9 ball tournament.

I'm like Jason, 9 ball is getting to be for the birds. If you aren't getting slopped around, you are getting screwed by the rack, or pattern rack, or 9's on the break - but sometimes they don't count. Or don't count in the bottom pocket, or lining up a dead 2-9 combo after scratching.

Let's just play 1 pocket.
 
Better yet, lets just all go out to Meadows and play poker. Even Meadows doesn't rake like the pool tournament director....

Things change around here when you make it ten ball. You gotta play a little pool to win in that game. Besides no one wants to dip into the Sunday Tourney King's piggy bank. I think Jody winning so much and the fact the ten ball tournament is more fun just absolutely ruined the Sunday tourney. I mean the ten ball pays 9th-12th on average. Sunday tourney pays 5th/6th on average now. Big difference between maybe 20 players and maybe 50 players.

Just sayin'....The Sunday Ten Ball would be sweet!

Don't start using them - there addicting. I guess good racks usually are though.

There's no easy solution to the Fri vs Sun. Entry fee is part of it. Night of the week is some. For me, starting time is an issue for both... I could care less who wins - it doesn't affect my coming back.

I'm just getting ready to mothball the whole thing.... anyone still play tiddlywinks?
