I took most of today off to wait for the ups guy who's bringing my new Jack Madden cue. Why can't they be more specific than giving an eleven hour window to deliver it? I can't stand this waiting.

I was the same way with my Jacoby. As soon as I got to the office, I called and bugged them every thirty minutes for an update.

Have them hold the package
I have a buddy who is a UPS driver that gave me this advice years ago, and it's always worked. Have them hold the package at the office, so that you can go get it first thing when they call. Packages usually arrive late afternoon to their station, so you can pick them up before they close.
Make sure you post pictures of that new cue when you can. Enjoy!

I refuse to use them for this and other related reasons. They have a very closed system and and not customer friendly - Customer service rep refused to give me the phone number to the local terminal.

i know what you mean. i also took a day off. i kept running dowstairs every time the door bell rang and it was always someone else and the package never came!! even though on their website my package was out for delivery!?!? it came the next day which i called in sick for lol

unfortunately there was no delivery for me.I am waiting for my cue. It is being shipped by UPS. I have been tracking it. The UPS delivers around 4:30. I am waiting as close to the door as possible sittting in a chair watching TV and reading the paper. There is a knock at 3:30. I don't see or hear the truck pull up as he is parked by the neighbor's house. As I get to the door he is already in the truck driving away. I run after him but he keeps on driving. There is a note on his door stating that I was not at home to sign for the package and he will make another attempt. I call UPS and they tell me I can pick it up after 7:00 that night. They do this all the time. They drop the package and run.
