us amateur championship

I played in this a few years and it's definitely worth playing. You will meet lots of great people and even though there is no money awarded it's a prestegious title to have. I am excited that they are finally holding a qualifier in Austin where I live! I can't play but I will definitely go by to support my friends. Good luck to everyone that competes!

2006 event in Atlanta is where we met! Definitely worth playing IMO. Sucks we can't play, eh Cristina? ;)

I know! I actually talked about us meeting at this tournament in my APA article that is going out this week. I still wish they would go back to races to 9 (or at least 7) for the women after the qualifier stages.

I'm thinking of entering for my 1st time. I went to the site and saw the when and where's, etc. To get more info I filled out an online form giving my address, email and phone #. I did not see when the registration deadline was, so I assume I'll get that via email.

Going from memory; I believe the deadline to enter is around June 16th.

I agree! Races to 5 are way too short....but they cut the tournament down to 2 days last year...not sure if they are doing that again for the women's part.
I want to see this article now! ;)
