US Open 10-Ball & 8-Ball Championships Return to 9-Foot Tables

I am hesitant to respond much on this issue. There are several suggestions being put out there - many of which sound good, but for various reasons aren't practical.

Griff's is a 21 or over location. Therefor, no junior events.
A few asked about moving our tables or bringing in bleachers. The 9' tables did not attract very many spectators when in he same room at the Rio. (believe it or not, the 7' tables attracted a LOT more spectators.)

Either way, there will be limited seating at Griffs. It will be determined at a later date how to handle the seating (or lack of). It is the best we can do. This event is already a serious money loser and I will try to not loose too much - lol!

We will be streaming at least one table.

We cannot take several 9' tables to the Rio, provide lighting and seating. It just doesn't work financially.

If there are other concerns that I didn't answer, I'm sorry. We are trying to do the best we can do.

CSI is adding $40,000 to pro events (out of our pocket). All are $10,000 added.

It makes sense.

Now let's see if the players support these events on 9 foot diamond tables.

Great news for the pool fans. Glad to see CSI finally give them back what they want and have asked for repeatedly instead of trying to force feed them 7-foots and telling them to like it...

I hope the event is a resounding success for CSI and pool fans both.
 
2013.......Great big open event, lots of 9 footers.....

2014......wait.....what happened, now it's down to an invitational..........

2015.....now what's going on..... the 9 footers shrunk to bar boxes.................

2016......it's the bar boxes, but you can't see them cause they raised the seating around them.....

2017......HOLY MOLY!........the event has now left the building.....

Guess what Mark and Ozzy..........your tweaks to the event............Lame.
