Is there anywhere one can find the rules for this yr to see their changes if any?
The knockout rounds are No longer a race to 11, it's too 9.
This is a first, it's always be 11/winner break.
In the race to 9 matches is it winner break or Alternate?
In the later/longer races is it winner break only?

The usual for Matchroom's large field events (World Pool Championship and US Open 9-ball) is winner breaks, rack your own with templates in the preliminary round and winner breaks with referee racking with a triangle in the knockout round.

That's a surprising switch to races to nine, but I don't have any problem with it. Will I see you at the event, Bill?

I think they had refs racking with templates in this years World 9b in the preliminary rounds. I don’t know if they will have enough refs to do that at the US Open with the larger field and more tables.

Stu yes....it is surprising, I wonder if it's alternate during the knock outs?
I arrive on the 11th, and if your staying at Harrah's, look me up.
Each entrant receives extra entry tickets.
My two brothers are coming, but since they will most likely not stay at Harrah's I might be able to help you out.
I leave the day after the finals.

Mandalay, they had 1 ref for 4 tables. That would mean 8 minimum working the floor and the first two days have roughly 14hr of play.

Cool. I'll be staying at Harrah's, arriving on the 12th, so we'll have to arrange a hookup. I've been looking forward to meeting you for quite a long time now.
