US Open 8 Ball in Vegas this year?

I saw this listed as a points event. I didn't know there was such a tournament for the professionals. I thought only the 10 ball and the 1 pocket took place

This is the first year for CSI's US Open 8 Ball.

With BCAPL National Championships 2013 moving to Rio Convention Center, there were plenty extra space for more professional events. :thumbup:

US OPEN 8-Ball

As Sunny said, the move to the Rio is allowing us to do some new things.

July 17-20 US Open One Pocket. $10,000 added
July 19-23. US Open 10-ball. $25,000 added. BCA points
July 23-27. US Open 8-Ball. $25,000 added. BCA points

July 18-21. World Trick Shot. $10,000 added. WPA world
July 26-29. BEF Junior National 9-Ball


There will be 17 tournament tables (including the TAR streaming table)

All pro events will have FREE general seating. VIP seating will be available-limited availability.

Two BCA points events back to back. This is better for the players and spectators.

All the top 20 ranked players (by BCA points) will be invited. If they do not sign up by the deadline, their spots will be released.

I have to be honest here - the Bonus Ball schedule is unknown at this time. We will be as fair as we can - but players are going to have to decide if they are going to play. We have done pro events since taking over the BCA Pool League and will continue to do so.

Interesting the 8 Ball event made the BCA points list prior to the first one being played. I'm really looking forward to that event; it will be an eye opener for a lot of people and I'm sure will generate a lot of interest. This may be the first real good step in long while towards connecting the pro game to the casual fans. :thumbup:

Mark, will BCAPL members get special pricing to spectate all 3 pro events next year?

Hey Dogs-
BCAPL players will get to watch all 3 events for FREE!
There will be limited VIP seating for those wanting.
The pro pool area will be in the same room as the amateurs. No walls.
Going to be a good event.

This is great. I plan on going to the end of the 10 ball and watch the 8 ball as well. It is quite rare to see pros play 8 ball. Kudos to CSI!
 
Us open 8-ball

Should be a treat. And there will be 5,000 amateur players plus 150 junior players to watch, learn,and cheer!
 
FREE General Admission to all Pro events is huge deal! I hope everyone, players and local residents will take advantage of the opportunity!
