I'm planning on attending (as a spectator) but I can only stay down there one weekend.

My question is should I go down the weekend the trmt starts (10/16) or the weekend the trmt ends (10/23)?

I am hoping to hear from people that have been there in the past.

I'm thinking the 1st wknd I might get to see more early round matches. If I go down there the 2nd wknd, would I have to purchase VIP seats?

Also I want to check out Q-Masters. Again, which wknd has more action there?

Thanks a lot.

If I were you I would go down during the last weekend. You'll get to see the finals and the remaining players will all be world class players. I'm also guessing that the players that got eliminated will be @ QMasters gambling.

I've been going to the US Open for many years and I look forward to it each year. The tournament used to start on Monday and end on Sunday, but that was changed recently to starting on Sunday and ending Saturday night. If you can only go on the weekend Saturday and Sunday then you won't be able to see a lot since you will only have one day to watch the matches. The better players are still alive at the end, but there aren't as many matches to watch. If there's any way you can swing it try to get at least one week day to add to Saturday or Sunday so you can see many more matches. The beginning has more players and the end has the players who have survived the weeks matches. I hope you can make it and enjoy the tournament. I wouldn't miss it, plus this year the top women are going to be playing against the men. It should be exciting........

If you can not get off any weekdays, then I'd probably choose the first weekend vs just the one (final) Saturday. Personal preference I guess, but I'd rather see a whole field of players - including the LADIES! - for 2 days then just 4 players for one day (I think there's 4 players at the start of the final day, but I may be incorrect).

But if you can get the final 2 days - Fri and Sat - jump on that as SCCues suggested. And plan on going to the after party at Q Masters.

depends on what you want to see

if you want to see all of your favorite players then go down at the start since they will all be playing

if you want to see who wins, then go at the end

also, check to see it it will be streamed. if it is, you can go at the beginning and see all the players and still catch the semi's and final on the web
