Hi all there :)

Just was on the page from Accustats to check out the prices etc. - i m wondering what i get for the money. Can i *just* watch *one* table or am i able to choose and switch between the matches to watch all the games I prefer?

thx in advance if somebody knows that :)

Hope it s like it was at the european straight pool tournament where you were able to switch between 12 tables-and also watch simultanously what ever you wanted.

I suspect that it will be like previous years where there is an Accu-Stats arena with one table in it. We will pick one match (a good one) each round to place in that arena for all to see. There will be up to six rounds a day, so quite a few good matches will be available each day. What you get with Accu-Stats is closer to a true television production, with multiple cameras and expert commentary. Not just one camera focused on a table. Big diff!

thx for the response jay,

in my opinion what you got from the european champion ships for your money, was that what i always wanted. To be able to choose each table, each game. 1 Table was with commentary- and the others without.
I would always prefer this type- to be able to just receive/get one game....k- some may like this- but i don t really need commentary. I hoped that the european event would get *others* to make similar things. A bit sad that they not did. I enjoyed that really to be able to watch 2-3 games simultanously- never saw something better (for me)-and for a very good price.

thx again Jay :)

IMHO the biggest problem with live events for us Europeans is the time difference. Be prepared to sleep very little if at all! ;)

I understand we are not enough viewers to warrant the matches being recorded and available for a certain period or for download... but it would be extremely nice :) that way I could wake up and watch what happened last night instead of fighting through the wee hours to keep myself awake.

With this being said, Accu-stats streams are very professional and high quality (check bclub in youtube), commentary is the best (Diliberto, Incardona, Wych, Helfert, etc.) ;)
The price is usually a bargain (like a cinema ticket per day) and if matches were available for review at different times it would be perfect.

Jay's right. The bigger question is, who paid for the live stream coverage from the European Straight pool championships. Is the same company broadcasting other events in Europe that same way, too? The reason for asking about other tournaments with this same multiple table access is, available bandwidth. There maybe more available bandwidth, to broadcast on, in Europe. Bandwidth in certain locations is an issue here in the U.S..
At the U.S. Open, the cost of the production is covered by Accu-Stats. It's really expensive to cover "Accu-Stats quality" matches daily. I'm sure the cost of the set-up for switching capabilities and camera's, on 19 other tables, would be prohibitive. If professional pool was considered to be a top T.V. sport here in the states, major networks would incur that additional expense.
That all said, Accu-Stats really gives it's best to bring Pro-Pool matches to the viewers at an excellent daily rate! I hope they are able to survive this economy and keep bringing us this kind of coverage for a long time to come!
I read here on A.Z., that JCIN, of T.A.R. said, if he didn't get a solid viewer response to the Immonen vs. Van Boening race to 100 match, it would be their last pay per view. "What a shame that would be!"
Sure hope that's not going to be the case with T.A.R., they're good to have around as well!

Very well said.
Bandwidth is a big reason. It is limited here more than there. So I think you all should be glad you get what you get. People try to do the best they can but nobody is ever satified it seems. I too hope TAR gets a response they want with the upcoming match. Has to be an epic match of the decade. I would feel the same way Justin does, if this doesnt sell why continue !

lighting is a big problem to get a great picturefor multiple tables, throughtout matches commentators seem to update on other matches, accustats mostly concerned with quality of arena table and it is flawless.
