US Open - Good Luck to the "Mosconi 8"

I see Shuff play quite a bit. I gotta say, he's really on fire, one of the most gifted players I've ever seen. I don't know what happened on the road recently, but his game has sky-rocketed. He ran into a couple of buzz saws this Open, I really don't think it's indicative of where he's at skill wise. Now that he's got a MC under his belt AND he's actually several balls better than then, I'd really hate to see him stay home. Shane and Corey for sure, Hall and Bergman with Shuff are my picks. Three MC alums with two rookies. I like Sossei, but I really think we need to anchor/develop the younger experienced players. Dechaine is great, but he was all over the place last time he played MC. Frankly, I'd like at least one year without a potential melt down; just quiet professionalism and all the drama kept on the table. Dechaine should get another shot, maybe helping to anchor next year's team instead of Corey...

I'm really impressed by the U.S. players in this event (not just MC contenders).

I think I was guilty of not giving many of these younger pros enough credit.

Hopefully, this isn't just an anomaly and there are better days ahead for many of our U.S. players.
