Why don't they keep streaming winners side matches instead of losers - for instance, they could show Shane/Chang at 10:30, Alex/Han at 12:30, Shaw/Kiamco at 2:30, ko P//Corteza at 6:30, etc. That way the best matchups are still being streamed(lol)
Of course all the other matches being PLAYED would be loser side matches, but the viewers and onsite fans would get to watch a winner side match at all times.

Something to consider

I agree, or at least some desirable matches. This won't tempt me want to buy the complete set of DVDs that's for sure

They are not scheduling the matches based on the stream. The tournament schedule puts the B-side matches all on at the same time, and they pick a match for the stream being played at that time.

They "could" decide to do as you say, schedule A-side matches for the TV table and keep the stream on those, but they choose not to alter the flow of the event that way.

The morning schedule being all b-side matches that are fairly uninteresting is why I skipped buying the first session, I am waiting until the evening session to buy. Given that they indeed lost at least one sale from me they might want to consider what you say, they would certainly likely see more sales on the single sessions.

B-side matches do not really get that interesting until ~the final 16 when the guys on the B-side start getting that B-side final in view and start looking like they have a legitimate chance of making it into the final and winning the thing. These early round B-side matches are way too shallow to be very interesting, the deep part of the tournament is a long way off for those guys atm.

It also provides a better match for everybody on site to watch, not to mention better dvd sales for accu.
Seems like a win for everybody involved:thumbup: there would always be a winners side match going on.

There are more matches to be played on the losers side.

Read my first post - just 1 winners side match while the rest are loser side matches.
If I knew how to do a poll.....I'm sure everybody would rather have it like this
Jason

It's a valid discussion. I was just thinking that with better matches you would get more purchases. /shrug

At least the stream looks like it might be stable now...

I agree. Who knows how to do a poll?

After the winners side matches concluded yesterday "they" could've put 6 winners side matches in designated time slots(so the players would know and be there) for today and scheduled 12 loser side matches at each timeslot.
We would have all known what matches were gonna be on PPV today and what times.

This gives the audience the most bang for the buck and also makes the Open look alot better by always having a strong match on - live and ppv.

Stable but isn't the clarity terrible... maybe its just a week of complaining for me but this has got to be 240p.... and thats a 4 x 3 inch screen hahaha

What's everybody's thoughts? It can't change it if we don't ask for it. This goes for all tournaments, not just the open.
Jason

Most of the time on long tournaments I only buy winners side matches, semi-final and final. I don't want to watch 2 dead money players that I could beat when I was playing everyday. Johnnyt
