Ballentine Blvd. at I-264: Oct. 18 – 20 (Overnight)
A portion of Ballentine Boulevard near I-264 will be milled and paved over a two night period beginning Sunday, October 18 through Tuesday morning, October 20. Details follow:
•Milling: Sunday, October 18 from 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. Monday, October 19
•Paving: Monday, October 19 from 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20.
•Tuesday, October 20 through Wednesday, October 21 is a make-up day, in case the work takes longer than anticipated.
Based on the volume of commuter and commercial vehicles and pedestrians that travel this stretch of roadway during daytime hours, night work is faster and safer for travelers and work crews. Please contact the 24-hour construction hotline at (757) 664-7220 with any questions and/or concerns.

DOWNTOWN
Boush Street—Beginning, Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 23, traffic will be reduced to one lane northbound on Boush Street between Freemason Street and Bute Street during daytime hours for utility work. Left turns northbound from Boush Street will be detoured to Duke Street. Motorists may use Saint Paul's Boulevard as an alternate route.
Boush Street—Through June 2016, watch for full sidewalk closure along Boush Street from Green Court to Charlotte Street for building construction and utility work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the west side of the street.
E. Charlotte Street—Through late October, watch for the partial closure of E. Charlotte Street between Fenchurch Street and Saint Paul’s Boulevard in the Saint Paul’s Parking lot for construction of the HRT Downtown Norfolk Transit Center. Access to the lot will be from Mariner Street and Saint Paul’s Boulevard. A portion of E. Charlotte Street will remain open from Saint Paul’s Boulevard for access to businesses.
W. Charlotte Street—Through June 2016, watch for full sidewalk closure along W. Charlotte Street between Boush Street and Granby Street for building construction and utility work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the west side of the street.
E. City Hall Avenue—Through 2017, the sidewalk adjacent to E. City Hall Avenue between Saint Paul’s Boulevard and I-264 will be closed.
Downtown Streets—Through December, there will be intermittent lane closures on downtown streets during off-peak hours for work in manholes by Dominion Virginia Power.
Granby Street—Beginning Monday, October 19 through early November, watch for southbound closure of Granby Street between Plume Street and Main Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for cornice work atop the Virginia Building requiring a manlift. Flaggers will assist with traffic.

Main/Granby/Plume—Through 2017, the parking lane (Granby) and sidewalks on Main Street, Granby Street, and Plume Street will be closed during construction of The Main. Pedestrians will be detoured to the south side of Main Street, the west side of Granby Street and the north side of Plume Street, respectively.
CITYWIDE
Five Points—Through early December, watch for intermittent lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for traffic signal upgrades at the intersection of Chesapeake Boulevard, Norview Avenue, Sewell's Point Road and Azalea Garden Road (also know as "Five Points). Motorists should also watch for alternating lane closures at northbound on Chesapeake Boulevard for concrete roadway repairs from Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon.
Granby Street—Through December, watch for a single lane closures and median turn lane closures along Granby Street between Filbert Street and Willow Wood Drive and along Willow Wood Drive, Willow Grove Court, Orchard Street, W. Arden Circle, E. Arden Circle, W. Severn Road, S. Ridgeley Road, Oak Grove Road, Sinclair Street, and Filbert Street for utility replacement/upgrades by Virginia Natural Gas.
Hanson Avenue—Until further notice, left turns from Hanson Avenue onto and from E. Princess Anne Road are prohibited. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction on E. Princess Anne Road between Hanson Avenue and Cooke Avenue.
Indian River Road—Through early December, the culvert/bridge on Indian River Road between State Street and Clifton Street will be completely closed to all traffic. Motorists should use Clifton Street as an alternate route.
W. Little Creek Road—Through early January, watch for a lane reduction to one lane lane in each direction on W. Little Creek Road between Ruthven Road and Restmere Road for utility work.
E. Little Creek Road—Through early December, watch for intermittent lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for traffic signal upgrades along E. Little Creek Road at Chesapeake Boulevard and Halprin Drive.
Llewellyn Avenue—Through late mid-November, watch for a curb lane and sidewalk closure on northbound Llewellyn Avenue between between 28th Street & 35th Street for utility work and roadway repairs.
May Avenue—Until further notice, May Avenue will be closed to through traffic at E. Princess Anne Road for nearby building construction shoring. Traffic will be maintained from E. Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Meadow Creek Road—Through December, watch for a single lane closures on Meadow Creek Road between Sheppard Avenue and E. Little Creek Road and along Bison Avenue, Buffalo Avenue, Sheppard Avenue, Buffalo Court, Cougar Avenue, Cougar Court, Condor Avenue, and Coyote Avenue for utility replacement/upgrades by Virginia Natural Gas.
W. Little Creek Road at Hampton Boulevard—Watch for intermittent lane closures on the northeast side of the intersection for utility work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through late September.
E. Princess Anne Road—Until further notice, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on E. Princess Anne Road between Hanson Avenue and Cooke Street for nearby building construction shoring. May Avenue will be also be closed to through traffic at E. Princess Anne Road. Traffic will be maintained from E. Virginia Beach Boulevard. Left turns from Hanson Avenue onto and from E. Princess Anne Road will be prohibited.
Terminal Boulevard—Through early December, watch for intermittent lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for traffic signal upgrades along Terminal Boulevard at Hampton Boulevard and Diven Street.
Tidewater Drive— Through late October, watch for intermittent lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement, median, storm drain, and concrete crack repairs along Tidewater Drive between Easy Street and Bay Avenue.
