Anyone that pays $500 without thinking they can win at least 1 match, is just doing for the experience, or they are just dumb, aren't they?

It's like playing Blackjack against the house! You win a few hands, you lose a few hands. Sometimes you're on a streak, sometimes you have bad luck!

I have mixed feelings on seeding an event. It's good for promoters to keep the well known players in longer to keep paying butts in the seats. It might suck for soeone like me who might just get to draw one of my life long favorite pro in an early round.

I like true "open" tourneys where you pay, draw a number, go play and let the chips fall where they may.

I also disagree with an argument that players be seeded because they came a far way? nah, how many "pro" players came from over seas and paid ALL there own expenses?.....I"d like to know how many entries were paid by Puyat?...or a government run program?

Open, they have the US Open tennis, but you have to be a pro, they have US Open PGA golf men or women, you have to be a pro, I think the semantics of the word Open in this case are evolving, improving and Barry probably has a better grasp on the situation doing the OPEN for almost 3 decades that 90% plus that make posts on this forum. What would happen if 1,000 players singed up for the event? Hummmmmmmm dilemma eh? Leave the event to the promoter, he knows whats goin' on.

My question is:

what was the 'logic' behind the seeding??? Because, it does seem like top players from one country got grouped together on a leg of the bracket. (and I am referencing more than one country, more than one leg).
