It's still early but I'm going to start this thread for Us Open updates....

Anyone with match info or anythng else please share with forum...

Only halfway through 1st round but I already see two interesting matches for 2nd round...

Keith Bennett vs Corey Deuel

Marc (Spain) Vidal vs Jesse Engel


More to come.... Anyone else feel free to share, tx....:)
 
Seen loads of 11-0 and 11-1 and 2's. Either the winners are straight pounding or the losers have no reason entering. Then again last pro match I played in I lost 9-0 so thats not saying much :lol:

I think alot of the 11-0 matches are actually forfeits from no-shows... That was the case in the past and in some of the other tournaments.... Don't know why they don't just put an 11-F for score...
 
IDK about all that. NVer heard of a forfeit at the Open. I could be wrong but Im pretty sure they all make it.
 
Just getting in from work.... Not sure if brackets are updated but there are 27 1st round matches that haven't been played.... Not sure how new setup is at Barry's room.... I can't remember the open ever taking two days to get through first round....

1st round matchups for tom worth sweating.... Both will be on the stream...

Actually, there are a few forfeit/no-shows every year at the open and just about every tourney that requires very early entry fee payment.... Sometimes things just happen in the time between getting the money through the window and lagging for the break of your 1st round match....
 
Aaaaaah, Brittany....she fought back bravely from 8-3 down but missed
a tricky 9-ball to make it 9 all.
Tom Karabotsos wins 11-9 .....
Tom looks a little over-weight now but I'll still bet on him wrestling anybody
in the Open...he was Illinois State Wrestling champion.

Most pros cruised through in am....

Looks like Shannon is caught up in a grinder....

Eckert was down early, tied up at 9.... Haven't seen a score update for 20 min....

Watched most of Frankie vs Eric.... Commentary was subpar at best compared to accustats norm.... They very rarely talked about the match/shot/etc.... At one point both guys agreed that the open was call shot which I don't think its ever been. They said frankie called a jump double bank shot when trailing 8-2... Seriously???

Match - Eric got his break working early and frankie limped outta the gate... At one point Eric put a 3 or 4 together... Lost track changing my daughter's $hitty diaper... Oh, the pure joy of parenthood.... Anyway, Frankie made a late charge trailing 9-2... Dogged a routine out to get it to 9-7 and breaking.... Eric played solid early but both seemed to taper off towards the end...

Not sure why accustats very rarely posts the actual TPA stats that Pat created... Countless matches I've viewed now without seeing it posted or talked about through entirety of match....
 
Geoff Conway and Sho-nuff Shuff in booth now... Bartram vs Burford underway... Play and commentary should both be better in this one....
 
Well Shannon is the first big upset of open.... Got it back hill-hill and breaking from down 9-5.... He played real well in 10-ball tourney leading into this and has a much better 9-ball break... Eckert won his match 11-9

Adam Smith just won 11-1 and is starting a match vs SVB.... This is very strange early in tourney... He's playing B2B matches yet they haven't made it through entire 1st round.... WTF???

Btw, Bartram up 3-0 early on stream... Burford has yet to settle in... Efren up 6-0 in about 10 min.... Looks like he's got his break working....

Is SVB playing in the international tournament of champions tomorrow in CT? Maybe this is to accommodate him, so that he can travel to CT.

Not sure but Lee Brett is also playing B2B matches... Won early round and is now playing Ralf.... This is very strange in day 2...

Alcano is tied at 8 vs a guy I never heard of... He was one of my favs coming in after two runner up finishes...

Hohmann and Ussery tied at 3... Anyone who knows of BJ, knows that he's not that big of a dog here... Guy plays jam up....

Are these "real time" reports? I'm noticing the real time scoring on AZ doesn't appear to be 'real time". On several occasions, I've noticed that the screen will refresh multiple times with the same score, and then suddenly it refreshes with the final score.

Yes, you're right... I'm looking at same thing you are....

Alcano wins 11-9 after looking at 8-8 score for last 30 min....

Lee Brett and Ralf have been at 1-1 for last half an hour also...

No movement of score for thorsten and bj's match or Ralf's for a 1/2 hr or so. Very disappointing. I believe matches are occuring in 3 different rooms and perhaps there's a delay in relaying scores. Certainly not as updated or real time as last year.

I wish I could agree with you here... But I heard there are monitors in each room with updates on every ongoing match....

Btw, BJ and Hohmann tied at 5 now... Lee leading Ralf 5-2

Watching stream, Burford has grinded his way back to 5-4 after being down 5-1...

No one has got past one on Efren "-) Not sure if his 2nd match was a forfeit though..I know he played the 1st one.....
Poor Shannon lost hill hill......I was routing for him.....bummer:-(
