Us Open Updates....

Semifinal matches on the winner's side now set:

Efren Reyes vs. Alex Pagulayan

SVB vs. Jose Parica

Old Dogs...

Yeah, if you're referring to Parica, who is still on the winners side and is 5 years older than Efren! The dude is 63!

How sick would it be to have an Efren/Parica final. Flashback to PI in the late 70s..lol.

What is 121???

Combined age of Reyes/Parica if they do make it to final....

That would certainly be an unbreakable record if it does happen.....

Told my best friend a blast from the past would snap this off but never expected this kind of showing....

Reyes, Parica, Archer, Strickland.... all great tournaments

Thanks for the updates. Sheesh, if Alcano had gotten there vs. SVB it would be an all pinoy Semifinal A side. With arguably the best pinoy still lurking on the B side. Tough action, great tournament.

No matter what results we get from the semifinal matches on the winner's side, the hot seat match will be a classic!

Possible hot seat matches:

Reyes vs. Parica
SVB vs. Alex
Reyes vs. SVB

I just realized that myself... Thats just sick... The Pinoy Open....

One-loss side matches:

Jung Lin Chang vs. Jayson Shaw
Neils Feijen vs. Ronnie Alcano
Darren Appleton vs. Johnny Archer
Dennis Orcullo vs. He Wen Li

Only one of these guys can make it to the final, and none of them are guaranteed to.

Me too. I'd love to see Efren and Jose in the hot seat match.
I don't know what makes a greater story. Efren or Jose snapping this tournament off?

But Daz on the B-side still steaming about his loss to Efren completely freaks me out.

I am rooting for SVB or Archer because it would nice to see an American win. On the other hand, I wouldn't be too disappointed to see Parica or Reyes win. Both of those guys proving that they can still bring it when they need to.

But you are forgetting to factor in the BAD-MOFO. There ain't no formula to account for the ability to go full-heat-pool-coma.

Dude lives for the big time. Not sure there has been a better big-game tourney player in recent past. (Aside from Efren, but I hear he's juicin:smile:)

Do you think that puts him at better than 2/3 likely to win each match?

Parica looked shaky closing out his match against Shaw.

Well, I am prette sure one of my favorites will win from here.

The are:
Neils
Pags
Effie
Daz
Parica
SVB
:sorry:
