USBTC Stream Updates 2-27-14

DO "sold the farm". Maybe, because 3/6 tricky. Carom possibility? Or bank shot?

Berg attempts delicate safe and leaves DO a shot on 3 ball. He makes it = tough on 4 ball. DO is thinking. He goes for 85 degreeish cut = misses. Berg has opportunity to get out.

Berg makes great shot on 4 ball. Fat lady warming up. DO concedes last two balls. The crowd goes wild, not really, but they clap in appreciation.

9-6 Berg!!! Way to go "young" gun.

SVB vs. BERGMAN Winners side 9ball RACE to NINE

SVB wins the lag, makes a ball on break and has an opening shot. SVB comes up short for position on 5 ball and plays safe. Berg to kick.

Berg makes good hit, but sells out. :(

SVB gets out.

1-0 SVB; Bergman to break

Bergman's break pockets a ball, but he has no action and must push. He does. SVB accepts. Looks like combo city on 1/5?

He goes for it and makes the four ball. Luck counts here (not luck 10 ball event where player has option after an illegally pocketed ball). However, SVB must play safe.

Bergman kicks (hard) and sells out the rack. SVB banks in the one ball and begins his run. Smoothly two stroking, he's out.

2-0 SVB; SVB to break in Game 3.

SVB (surprisingly) is wearing a green shirt. He only wore that 'ol pink shirt the first day of the event. Think he'll wear this one for a few years? :)

SVB makes a ball, and has a shot on one ball. The run commences. Contemplates shape from 5 to 6 ball and comes up with shot. He's out, again (shoots the 9 ball through the magic rack).

3-0 SVB; Bergman to break Game 4.

Bergman breaks, makes a ball, and plays safe on one ball. SVB weighs his options...kicks one rail.

Bergman has shot to run out. Makes shot, bumps 9 ball for position on 2 ball = run out.

3-1 SVB; SVB to break in game 5.

Shane wearing a Rolex? Big balling. :)

SVB makes ball (mild break) and has a shot. Table has some congestion. He came up a little short on 5 ball. No worries, he banks it in for 6/7 combo and runs out.

4-1 SVB; Bergman to break in Game 6.

Bergman's break results in 5 balls disappearing. However, one of them was the cue ball. SVB has to run five balls with ball in hand. Yep, he ran out.

5-1 SVB; SVB to break in Game 7.

SVB's break shot results in a ball pocketed with shape on one ball. 3/4 (3 ball next) are tied up. SVB breaks 'em up and comes up with combo. Still got some positional work to perform. He's disappointing because cue ball hit 8 ball on way out of corner. Would have had an easy combo on the 9 ball.

SVB plays safe. Safety battle ensues.

Berg attempts combo kick on 6/9 but sells out.

6-1 SVB; Bergman to break Game 8.

Shane looks really comfortable and is smiling while conversing with his friends at the rail.

Bergman makes two balls on break. He has a make-able cut shot on one ball. He shoots quickly and MISSES. Again sells the farm. SVB floating around table one/two stroking balls in like butter.

7-1 SVB; SVB to break in Game 9.

SVB breaks, makes a ball and has tougher cut shot than Bergman just missed. Cuts it in swiftly and leaves another cut shot on two ball. He aims, strokes and MISSES. SVB sells out.

Bergman's out.

7-2 SVB; Bergman to break.

Shane still conversing with friends on the rail with a smile.

Bergman makes two balls on break and plays safe off the one ball.

SVB attempts to kick in ball and might have left a shot. Can't tell, but looks iffy.

Bergman misses and hooks SVB.

SVB airborne = success. He almost scratches. Has 2/7 combo. SBV firmly strokes the cue, nearly makes the combo and scratches in the side pocket.

Bergman's on a run. He's not taking as much time as he did in match with DO.

7-3 SVB; SVB to break in Game 11.

SVB (breaking R side 2nd diamond, mild stroke) makes a ball. He banks in one ball and then banks in three ball. Cuts in 4 ball (through magic rack) and leaves cue on rail froze on side pocket. He removes magic rack (5 ball in center of it) and floats 5 ball in. Banks the next ball and runs out.

8-3 SVB; Bergman to break in game 12.

Shane's still conversing and laughing with the rail birds.

Bergman makes a ball and has shot on one ball (he's tree topped by 8 ball). He makes it and runs out (swiftly).

8-4 SVB; SVB on the HILL and breaking.

SVB (same break) makes a ball and has a run out. He runs to 9 ball and Bergman concedes.

SVB appears invincible on these bar tables.

9-4 SVB wins!!!

SVB (same break) makes a ball and has a run out. He runs to 9 ball and Bergman concedes.

SVB appears invincible on these bar tables.!!!

He's pretty much invincible on any table.. Just sayin.

Shane is a monster for sure and congrats are an order, its just so hard to listen to Ken be so biased and one sided with the giant man crush he has on Shane during all his commentary. IMO
