Used CNC on ebay

Yes, it's been confirmed that is the same machine I worked on for Joe. As I said I don't think it's ever cut a cue - as far as I know all the inlaid cues Joe ever built were done on a pantograph by an employee of his named "Rudy".

I believe the converted Logan is also from Joe's shop. It would need a lot of work to get it back to the condition I would want it to be in.

I find the whole thing a little confusing. Joe sold his billiard-related business to Mueller quite a while ago, and I kind of remember that the shop equipment was part of that deal (?) No question the eBay seller is NOT Joe, so maybe Mueller consigned the tools to some broker?

Well, I'm home from the country with my truck.
Off I go VERY early tomorrow, another 750 mile day, to pick it up.

The Eagle Has Landed

Alright, it's only a Toyota 4x4, but it has definitely landed and it has this big CNC on board.

1800 miles in 3 days for machinery...tough, but hardly my first rodeo.
Quick, clean, easy trip. And quick...did I already say that?

The guy only let me take part of the wood (what the fuk!!)
but what I got is all 24"BRW. Perhaps 15-20 of them. Beauties.
And probably 25-30 feet of Mason ferrule stock, maybe more.
And about 30 or so nice shaft cones.
Drat. Oh well, I'll live with it.
And as Joe said, no gun involved.

I'll let everyone know how I do. I'll no doubt have no clue at first but that's why it's fun, right?

The shaft cones almost certainly came out of the Samsara shop.

How interesting. Thanks for the info. They are very nice shafts and there are more of them than I thought.

There is also a big bag dowels, obviously the same wood, just as nice. All have very high grain count, most have extremely straight grain. Nice dark color. All I checked were ~10oz. Those Samsara guys have good taste.
What a nice little extra!
