I see this happening more and more. I would be concerned about what effect it has on the cloth and interfering with shot making. I it should be outlawed at every level of the sport
Agree. Not an issue. It is illegal to mark the table with a chalked tip.
But there is no problem just to aim using the cue and it’s part as long as no marking is taking place.
Just placing the tip on the cloth won’t mark it.
It takes more than just putting the tip on the cloth to get chalk off the tip onto the cloth
Utterly ridiculous post. Maybe we should also ban people from walking around the table to see shots from different angles.I see this happening more and more. yes illegal marking of table IMOI have seen people lick their finger to leave a "wet/dark" spot on the table before, is that illegal? Real question, I think it is gross but....illegal?
Or learning to play as well as they can.Utterly ridiculous post. Maybe we should also ban people from walking around the table to see shots from different angles.
This mindset is what's wrong with amateur leagues. They know little about pool and have worked on even less. What they do know is how the pros look going about their business. As long as the non leaguers admire it, playing pool will stay stuck in the pastimes../I see this happening more and more. When did you start? Last week?So if a player points or touches the bed of the table with their cue or hand / finger to indicate target position - that should be banned?
I should just quit playing now.
Ha ha, I might have to agree with that as a few by me not only walk around the table to see different shots, they do it 2 or 3 times. Then the real kicker. After they've pointed on the table where they expect the cue ball to land, they get down to practice their second shot also with them yet to shoot their first shot. Then you guessed it, sometimes they will get down to practice their third shot from the position they think their second shot cue ball is going to go.Utterly ridiculous post. Maybe we should also ban people from walking around the table to see shots from different angles.
Seriously Bill?? You're overthinking it.I see this happening more and more. I would be concerned about what effect it has on the cloth and interfering with shot making. I it should be outlawed at every level of the sport
Why??I have seen people lick their finger to leave a "wet/dark" spot on the table before, is that illegal? Real question, I think it is gross but....illegal?
We have so many league players here trying to initiate the pro's actions they see on video and it's hilarious to watch. All these guys stroking their cues in the air to imitate, then getting down and miscuing or knocking the ball off table.Ha ha, I might have to agree with that as a few by me not only walk around the table to see different shots, they do it 2 or 3 times. Then the real kicker. After they've pointed on the table where they expect the cue ball to land, they get down to practice their second shot also with them yet to shoot their first shot. No team members of mine have ever said anything, but I'm sure we are all thinking the same thing in hoping their first shot cue ball doesn't land where they pointed. It really brings a smile to my and my teammates face when they actually miss their 1st shot after all their bullcrap.
