Was debating how to send an item internationally, after talking with UPS, and Federal Express, I got someone on the phone in my local Main Post Office that assured me International Priority is covered by INSURANCE all the way to destination.

So last Thursday I handed off my package, and paid the bill, and the praying started. I was told by the local clerk the package had a Guaranteed Deliver of April 17th.

I started e-mail tracking, and a couple of times the alerts stopped for a couple of days. This AM I got an e-mail saying package arrived in the Country of Destination.

I PMed my seller saying package is in his country, he PMed me back he had the package, no damage, and he was good with what he got.:)

Thanks to the USPS (Postal Service) it worked as promised. Got to destination early.

I strictly use USPS whenever I have control over deciding the shipper.
Absolutely the best rates & coverage.....amazingly less expensive too and people just don't know.

Well they're d1cking me around. Auspost got the package to the states I. A couple days. Usps has had it sitting n la and hasn't done anything with it in 5 days

I've had something get lost for 28 days before but other then that its been great using usps

Bruce, I trust USPS all the way, Priority Mail International or Priority Mail Express, shipping US >> VN or VN >> US, items have always arrived after the weekends.

I had a cue shipped from California picked up there by USPS Express mail Thursday late 5 PM. Arrived at my door Saturday 10:30 am. That's pretty good service IMO.

Here is an expensive Black Boar, that shipped from Florida to California overnight,by USPS.It arrived on time.It was packed pretty good, but I guess not good enough.

I am currently doing a trade with an AZer from Canada. We mailed out our cues the same day, I have mine, his is stuck in Customs in Miami. It took 14 days just to get there, here we are 6 days later and it still hasn't left. I went to my post office where all they can do is look at their computer and tell me the same thing I got from the tracking website. This is the first time I've ever dealt with international postage, and I'm very disappointed.

Broke the butt completely in half and didn't break the shaft at all?

Crazy. I wonder what the box looked like??

The box looked like someone leaned it up against something,at a 45 degree angle, and kicked it in the middle. The cue was wrapped in bubble wrap, then into a cardboard tube and then the tube went into a triangle box.And I wondered about the shaft not breaking. It was bubble wrapped and taped to the butt.I think I was scammed and that the buyer just wanted the shaft.Who knows what shaft was turned into USPS as evidence. To this day I wonder about how the shaft was untouched and the butt snapped in half.

Got to have been something funny going on with that.

I take it the box wasn't lined with a PVC tube though. :frown:

Always worth the extra $3-$4 for the peace of mind.

Absolutely right Sean.I learned a lesson here.PVC tubes are the way to go.And on top of everything else. The Postal Service, denied the insurance claim. It was a frickin' nightmare.
Marc

I don't want to "out" the buyer, because there is no "proof positive" but I definitely believe that I was scammed by the buyer so he could get a free Black Boar shaft.Tony at BB charges $550.00 for a shaft. How the frick could the shaft be fine, when the butt is snapped in half, and they were taped together?
The other thing is why would anyone accept a package that was nearly bent in half? Something was very wrong here.

Yeah I definitely feel like you might have been scammed by the buyer.

They probably wanted to deny the insurance claim because their was no visible damage to the box upon delivery.

The guy probably just bent it in half after he got the shaft he wanted.

You are right on the money Brandon. There wasn't much that I could do about it,but I know NOT to do business with that guy again. And I lost a lot of trust for a couple members here.Sad,but it was a lousy thing to do just for a free shaft.

In the USA the Postal Workers are Unionized, some do give a Rats Behind, other take their job seriously.

The bad one don't get fired, so there are problem with some of the people. Am I Anti Union that keep turds &slacker on the payroll because they are Union Members.

My experience with my shipment was great.

I know your experience was a good one Cowboy, thankfully, most of mine were OK too. I called them every day while I was in the insurance claim process, and you can never get anyone's name, and can not speak to the same person 2 days in a row. There is never a supervisor to speak to.It was a very frustrating process. After this experience,I hesitate to ship anything.

They are just another government agency, like the IRS.No one is accountable.

But like the Department of Veterans Affair who I deal with on a regular basis. Some of the employee are excellent. Recall me asking a Prosthetics Technicians one how long he had been with the VA. He replied over 13 years.

Really I said, and comment I figured you were new, and trying to make probation. He laughed, and said something about he was here to serve his fellow Vets, and loved his job. His actions & job performance show that.

A former member of the 82nd. Airborne, a Combat Medic who took care of his boyz before he worked at the VA.

Yes,I am sure that there are a lot of good folks in our government agencies.People that are dedicated to their work and helpful.I don't mean to "broad brush" all gov employees. It is just a frustrating situation sometimes.
