The Action Pool Tour and Diamond Billiards is proud to present the first ever VA State 10-Ball Championships! This is a special event promoted, conducted and streamed by The Action Pool Tour but it is NOT a regular tour stop. Please read all of the details below and spread the word!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
  1. THE FIELD IS LIMITED TO 64 PLAYERS AND WE ARE ACCEPTING ONLINE REGISTRATIONS NOW!
  2. ONLY VA RESIDENTS MAY REGISTER BEFORE FEB 9, 2013
  3. IF A FULL FIELD IS NOT REACHED BY FEB 9, 2013, ANYONE MAY REGISTER!

Keep this one on the radar! VA residents, don't forget that this event is limited to 64 players and only you can sign-up from now until Feb 8, 2013. After that, it is open to anyone.
 
Hotel

There are a lot of hotels in the area. Sites like Expedia, Hotwire, Travelocity will give a better rate than we can negotiate. Hope to see you there!
 
Reminder

VA Residents:
This is another reminder that registration is limited to you through Feb 8 (less than 3 weeks away)! Beginning on Feb 9, if the 64-player field is not full, registration will be open to everyone. This event is meant to be your state 10-ball championship, however, if you continue to procrastinate, there will be plenty of strong out-of-state players coming in to compete for the title. We are limiting the field to 64 players so register and pay your entry fee now by clicking here.

What's the point of calling it the VA State then? Why isn't Josh running this...? Just curious. Not really cool with having road players just roll through a tournament that's supposed to be somewhat prestigious.

Good questions.

  1. Josh Dickerson runs the VA-State 9-Ball Championship and does a great job. He is a friend of The Action Pool Tour and we support him in his efforts. The Action Pool Tour will run the VA State 10-Ball and 8-Ball Championships beginning this year.
  2. The intent is for this event to be only VA residents and the best VA player on that particular weekend to claim the title. However, it is also important that the field be full to ensure the payouts that are listed. We are aggressively promoting this event on the APT website, email, Facebook and AZBilliards in an attempt to fill the fiel by Feb 8 with VA residents only. However, if the VA players continue to procrastinate, there will be out-of-state players swooping in to fill the spots.
 
Well can you please show a player list so we can get a jist of who's signed up and how many?
 
If this is VA resident only before or after feb 9th I will be there for sure! Cause I love to claim va 10 ball state champion title! But its not so we'll see though

That is the correct list...although there are 10 paid entries now. This event will fill up! The problem is that people like to wait until the last minute. I am trying to get the word out to the VA players that if they wait too long, the field will be open and it will fill up fast.
 
Update

The VA players are beginning to wake up. There are only 10 days left until the field is open to anyone! We have had a lot of out of state players email in to be put on the waiting list. If you are a VA resident, you better not wait too much longer or you will not get a spot in this event.
