I've found lots of videos showing how to stretch cloth into the side pockets but I would like to know how to do a fold to. I know it will be obvious once I'm shown but still I'm willing to look stupid just one more time.

The Simoins DVDs which show you that exact fold, as well as how to spray glue the Valley rails and staple the ends closed are available for sale through Seberts.com

I'm not a mechanic ... but you may want to consider Ridgeback Rails too as they have a cut underneath the wood to allow for the three layers of cloth of a hospital fold.

Got the dvd. Simple once you know. I would like to know how well the glue method works on older rails. glue on glue.

I highly recommend Penguin Rails for Valley tables they have all for the different models years.and their bounce out does the Ridgeback rails in my opinion I refurbish Valley for the last 20 years I have tried alot of different rails and bumpers. If you have questions on glue please send me a message I get back to you . As for glue I recommend 3m 74 it is directional and has a fantastic hold and repositioning. Hope this helps.

It's a little funny that every table mechanic that I know of, switched from Penguin rails to the Ridgeback rails once they tried them out for themselves, as much better built, and better playing rails. And you use the plaster filler to do the seams on a 3 piece slate right?

Cool, got the tables finished. The side pocket folds and glue method worked well and looks great. Thanks for the guidance.
