Okay!!
We've heard from other posters, and I will tell you why I stated my comments as such, because when I was trying to sell a Schon SP-35 with 3 certifications of it being such, I was lambasted by 3 or 4 posters calling me a liar, even though I had pictures of it from the 1980's as it being a SP-35. The owner also talked to the cuemaker himslef on more than one occasion. They were claiming it was another model number, which it was not. Both model numbers were in the Blue Book, and the other model was similiar, but did not possess the detail and quality of materials that my friend's cue had. Bob had the Blue Book and I saw both listings myself.
Those 3 or 4 people were not reprimanded or warned in any way, so that is why I have repeatedly asked if it was okay to challenge a price in the for sale/wanted section publicly. It enters into the area that many people are cue experts here, not in the making, but in their value on the market, and do they have an obligation to the populace of the board to say when they think something is out of line in the for sale/wanted section. And also, when you come on here, you are on an international basis, not just a regional basis like you are without the internet.
You mean I don't have the right, on a public international board, to say you are a little too proud of stick, IMO or I don't think any plain jane cue is worth a $1,000 or more. Anybody that makes a product adjusts their pricing by the feedback they get back from the public, or they end up with more inventory than they know what to do with. I have never made an outright negative comment in the for sale/wanted section, I just want it clarified as to whether it is acceptable or not, and if not, then why did I have to suffer the barrage of accusations and comments I did. And I won't even go into the 1st amendment thing.
