Thanks for sharing all these beautiful cues!!

Is the third cue (first cue on the right) a Searing? The logo and wrap looks a little like a Thomas Wayne? Or it could just be my poor eye sight and ignorance :) dam fine taste you have there.

Jake,

You know Drawman623 as Gian, he has been to multiple ICCS shows and was an ICCS exhibiting collector this year in Atlanta.
The Gian Calise Collection.
Great collection of box cues!

Will

Yeah I know him and remember his collection well and I took tons of pics of his collection(imagine that) i am still learning to match real names to the Screen name. Thanks Will for helping me out along the way! !!

Thats one reason I enjoy this side of pool, people are there to tell stories, help spread knowledge, help out anyway they can and great lifelong friendships are made. In the poolhall someone is always trying to beat you out of $$or put u out of the tournament.

Iam new to AZ but I imagine i will be able to match names to faces before to long, especially with the help of guys like Will ,Ken,Paul, thanks guys.

I may be new to this AZ thing but I LOVE IT, I can finally talk cues with people cuz at the local poolhall(no offense to them) but when i talk about 100k + cues like Celtic Price or the Silver Gina they act like i am absolutely 110%full of crap or just plain crazy.

I went back through a bunch of pictures to double check and you know what??? We are both wrong, its a GINA!!! Now Will does own a Searing box cues with "flame"veneer veneers but that isnt it.

Thanks for catching that and I actually edited my original post

I couldn't agree more-EVOLUTION struck me as "best all around design, materials and execution" than any other cue i have ever seen,IMO of course...but i have seen many many many really nice cues, I mean the best of the best....like you have seen and you definitely came up with a great cue, because you knew where the bar was set and what needed to be done to make something that was on a whole nother level and EVOLUTION is certainly on its own level, followed closely by Eden. Eden is beatiful but its mlre subtle as where EVOLUTION just takes you breath away instantly ..
he Jake,
It won't take long to figure everyone out. It's nice to have you here and sharing pictures and experiences.
Say hello to Rick for me. Lots of fun in Atlanta this year. Especially at the pool tourney :)
Best,
Ken

Thank you for the kind words Ken. I have a blast at every cue show every year. It is the one thing i looked forward to. Especially this year, I told you about that bad car accident I was involved in back in April and I literally didnt do anything all spring and summer.it sucked but had to do it for legal reasons.
I cant be out playing golf and pool everyday and expect a settlement.

At Johnny Archers poolroom outside ATL was the first time i had hit any balls since before the accident. Not using it as an excuse but I think our match would have went differently than it did. Like it did at the tournament in Sante Fe;);)
My first match was Phil Eastwood of Quivers and I won 3-0 my next match was you I lost 3-2 and had a combo 3-9 in the case game that I missed and you ran out on me. After you beat me you caught a gear and started playing pretty jam up pool buddy.

I look forward to the tournament but the thing i like most is sitting outside having a smoke and picking all of your guy's brains, the info I have gotten from cue makers like Andy, Jim Stadum,Pete Tonkin and collectors like Phil Windham,YOU,and few others(not many collectors smoke) that info, stories and just "good ol cue talk" is priceless to me.

I ask alot of damn questions but I wanna know what going on,I just dont wanna sit there,I wanna be part of the conversation but only IF I KNOW WHAT THE HELL I AM TALKING ABOUT, after either 8or 9 ICCS shows and god knows how many questions later,I feel like i have a good amount of knowledge.

I know I am lucky as crap to be amongst the best cue makers, best collectors and their collections and I know a lot of people would give their eye teeth to be in my shoes. Iam lucky,I know that-but I am also humble about it and I dont and never will take it for granted. Ive made some true life long friends and cherish those friendships, its the better side of the pool world, where someone aint tryin to rob you, shoot you, beat you up over $$$ ect ect

Drawman623 i do not personally know youbut I do know Paul fairly well, hell Ive seen him at @least the last 4ICCS shows and you couldnt have said it better. We have had many of conversations about cues and other pool topics. Paul, if you would have said "its Paul here, you know Paul from Rhode Island or Paul whos friends with Sanjay from Scotland"I then i would have known exactly who you were. Im not bustin ur balls Paul, and i say this as a friend of yours, dont discribe yourself like that, like drawman said people remember you as the person you are buddy. See you at SBE this year???

Thanks
I don't mind, it's just a descriptor and like you said people who know me, know who I am. I definitely plan on being at SBE, rooms booked and everything. And it's "Paul from Boston" no offense Gian

Jake great pics and verbage to boot as well...we all appreciate it.

Are you atending Allen's show this year?

Anthony
