I don't want to get in the middle of this, but here is a quote from Mark Tadd a while back.

"ive always had a problem paying for a cue ive never seen or played with. so thats why i never played with a cue no more expensive than a cue tech for the most part. but ive ran across a few cues that i hit with that were incredible but someone elses and not for sale.
and i could play much better with them. so i never owned a good hitting cue and thats the reason i used to experiment and practice so much because it didnt always do what it was supposed to do and i thought it was me ."
If you heard this in Reno in December we were at the same table. I heard him say almost the same thing verbatim.

And I think it's abundantly clear that someone needs to smack you in the head for continued idiocy.

How's those words tasting? You chewing them up real good before you swallow? Don't want you to choke now.

Good players who played with a Cuetec unsponsored Troy Frank and Mark Tadd, ever heard of them Greg?

You do remember those words you said you were going to eat right?

Don't be shy-just say what you think! You delivered a square blow to the top of the nail.:)

***SmorgassBored-that is one cool cat!! My cat (its actually 1/2 domestic cat and 1/2 bobcat) would rip my face off if I tried that with her***

I just thought it was funny because he said it almost exactly the same way. Same order, same phrasing....I guess he has it down.

Reno is like the East Side of Indianapolis with casinos...and desert...and legal hookers...and ...you get the picture:D

That's very strange if he said that. His own words say:

-- His cues are cheap and don't allow him to play his best game

-- He's hit with cues that belonged to other people, and they were "incredible" and he "could play much better with them"

-- But apparently they were NEVER for sale, and presumably he could never find any cue, used or new, that played well and was for sale.

Lame excuse. There are many, many, many used and new cues that come up for sale all the time that you can test hit before purchasing. I have my doubts that all the "incredible" cues in the world are in the hands of people who refuse to sell them to Mark Tadd ;)

I can't grasp the logic of a professional player that insists he plays much better with a different cue, but obviously makes zero effort to get himself one.

And this is great info. No one is saying that the hit or performance of a Cuetec is better than or superior to anything else. All I have said is that they are decent cues and there are players who play good with them. Even if Mark Tadd never owned a "good hitting" cue does anyone on this board really want to play him for any significant amount even if he is using his Cuetec?

Wouldn't do any good, it's obvious that your head is harder than a Cuetec graphite cue and with less feeling.

Still waiting for that quality list............crickets chirping............come on please help me get a clue as to what makes a quality cue..................

Careful big boy - based on your Varney posts, I'm thinking you are more of a lover than a fighter.

Not necessarily so...I've met the man once, he asked if he could hang out at my shop & maybe pick up a trick or two...I said HELL NO!!! I do respect the fact that the man has a bank roll & is willing to bet what you want. I know for a fact that he's owned more high end SW's & the like than most will ever dream of laying hands on. Everyone is a player somewhere...I've got loyal players on my team no doubt...Greg, I'm on your team!!!;)

Well, that's all great for you two. I'm glad to hear you have bonded and that you respect his bank roll.
