Vegas is opening another pool room

On a motorcycle trip out west one year I stayed the night in Billings Mt. Went to a recommended room there and all the pool tables were covered with pink cloth. Had never seen that before ..........nor since.

Seriously, think the place must have been called Pinky's. Had one in Vegas across Flamingo from the Rio. Mark Estes of CSI / USAPL was the manager. Guess what color the cloth was ;) !

WOW, There were more than one place to have pink cloth. Who knew anyone even made pink cloth ?? The place in st. Louis was called the Pink Galleon, kind of a dive bar, but not in the good sense. The pink tables only made it look worse than it was ;)

I'm going to have to check this place out. I'm in Henderson so it's the other side of town sorta.

Does anyone know if they do cue repair at Good Timez? I need a new tip installed.

Coming Sunday - Thur. PM me if you want to hit some balls. That goes for anyone else who would like to play.

I was there recently after playing at Pool Sharks one night. On my way back home to Summerlin, I decided to stop by and check it out. It's pretty nice! No smoking is a plus….I was still stinky from being at Pool Sharks. I'm going to have to check this place out and play. No drinking though?!?! Am I correct? I didn't see a bar…. It's pretty close to my house in Summerlin. I'll be back.

OK so here is the deal.
There was a Pool Room called "Club Charleston" that recently went out of business.
I only went there a few times because all the tables had yellow felt and I thought the owner was kind of a dick..lol

Fast forward to last night at the BCA I ran into a very good local player "Gary Onomura"
tells me that he (I believe he also has a partner) has bought the old Club Charleston (which by the way will have a new name I suggested "Sin City Billiards" but who knows what it will be)
They are currently remodeling and should open in a few weeks.
Gary told me that the room will have
1. 8 Diamond Bar tables
2. 9 Diamond Big tables
3. 1 6' X 12' Snooker table (set up for Golf)
4. Newly remodeled bathrooms with all new fixtures
5. Full Bar
6. Kitchen (including Sushi)
7. Video Poker machines
8. NO SMOKING  (there will be a smoking area but not around the tables)

Sounds like great place I like that it has more big tables then bar tables don't find that much out here

If you can't find anyone, try Greg Kuhl at the Cue Club. He's there most nights after 5 PM. Has a small "pro" shop inside the Club. Some of the room owners use Joe Kupchek. Not sure how to get ahold of him. Also try www.vegasbilliardsbuzz.com. Someone on there might have a suggestion.

There are two enterances on the building. The one closest to Charlston will be the bar/restaurant once the licenses are obtained. Not sure when that will be. Still a nice place to play.

Excellent, thanks. I looked it up & it's not to far from my work to the Cue Club so I might drop by there to ask.

I'll have to check out Good Timez for sure. Nonsmoking right?

Good timez is non smoking in the pool room area. Once the bar is open, smoker can fire up in the bar area only. I hope. You can leave your shaft at good timez and frank tran will replace your tip and bring it back. Frank is a really good player and a nice guy. If your in henderson. Call mickeys and ask for Shawn. I think he can put a tip on your shaft. It closer to henderson than the cue club and good timez. Wayne

Thanks Wayne. Sent you a PM.

Update

For everyone in this thread we have been open since November of last year. The bar has been open from February of this year. Gaming is in and should be operational very soon.

The Cue Club is the only room I frequent, as I don't really know where the others are. I feel nervous about parking there, but so far, nothing to report. What about the area for this new place? How's the environs?

Pool Sharks and Mickeys are doing pretty well, I go to the two of them.
The Cue club is dangerous at times other at night other there.

Hi

Hi everyone Thompson here I'm the manager of Good timez. Just wanted to put all of you at ease about the area. As it is everywhere things happen from time to time, but since we opened everyone here has taken an active part in working with metro to clean up this neighborhood. Automatically when people hear there is a pool hall coming to the area they think trouble so we've taken an active part in changing that by changing whats on the inside first and ask that all our regulars help by "see something say something" it's the only way we all can make OUR (yours and mine) pool room a better place. We have gone back and forth with the owners of the property to light up the parking lot at and guess what? Yes we won, they have fixed the flood lights in the parking so no more people hang out in the parking lot. Come by and see for yourself we have leagues Monday through Friday Tournament on Sat. https://www.facebook.com/goodtimezbilliards?ref=hl
