THIS IS A VERY EARLY CUE, HAS THE RARE PIN IN SHAFT JOINT THAT BURTON SPAIN WAS FAMOUS FOR. EVEN COMES WITH A MATCHING FANCY JOINT CAP FOR THE BUTT.
THIS CUE IS ONE OWNER AND ALL ORIGINAL INCLUDING THE TIPS. HERE IS THE INFORMATION I GOT SO FAR FROM Mr. Hercek....
"The cues you have there are quite rare, the first one with the Spain type joint, is one of my first inlayed cues. It's my blank, however a very early one, around 1995 timeframe. The inlay was made by using one of Burt's templates. I only did a handful of cues with the reverse joints"
ANOTHER E-MAIL FROM JOEL.....
"The reverse joint cue was delivered 7/14/94, that was my 7th cue, if you unscrew the rubber bumper you might still see the number 7 in gold marker on the bumper. I did make that joint protector also, forgot about it till I saw the cue"
SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT RIGHT FROM THE MAN HIMSELF.
