Very good condition Revo and Sport 2 butt won’t sell for $590 — Why?

eBay had auction of used Revo and Sport 2 Predator butt with minimum bid of $550 plus $36 for shipping or a buy-it-now price of $820 (incl. shipping). No bids made and auction ended with no sale. Don’t Revo cues sell for more than this? The seller has relisted it; this might be the second relisting. A new Sport 2 sells for $790 plus tax (if you can get an 11.8); not the $920 the seller contended. A minimum bid would have gotten you a 25% discount off a new price.

I think he set too high of a starting bid----try 99 cents and no reserve.

I have that stick only with the black forearm. I bought it because of the grip. I like it and right now it’s my main shooter.
The lighter forearm makes the cue look a bit ugly but other than that it’s a good cue at a good price.

I figured that since Predator is a leader of non-wood technology, its butts would not be wood (like the Rhino stuff that only look like wood?). Some of the Predator butts are wood, though they use a non-Schmelke approach using a wood casing and a wood core.

Why would you buy a used cue with no mfr warranty for 25% off? It's worth the extra money for piece of mind and knowing you're not getting someone else's lemon.

So long as you are listing it with enough exposure....everything sells.

And what it sells for is what it is worth.

Honestly a rubber grip cue has to have a very small resale market. Plus people are busted.

That tip has more than ten racks on it. I'll tell ya that much.

Ugly cue, has no soul. Looks like someone broke off a golf club and used it for a butt.

I don't understand some of the things coming out from Mez, Pred, and Rhino.
I guess because you don’t understand people have different tastes And likes. I think south west cues are ugly af and wouldn’t wast 10 mins waiting for one but here we are with an 18 year waiting list 😂

It's a rough time of the year for selling on ebay. This is a me gift not something you buy for someone else.

Plus it's an 11.8mm that's the most unpopular size.

I have it black and like it although I think it would look better if I could remove the cat decal on the forearm.
I love the grip.

My take on this:

Buyers will buy Predator cues with at least a 25% discount like this one.
Buyers did not buy this one, however, because of the following:
Christmas time is not the time for selling items that are not gifts (see Zerksies)
This is a me gift not something you buy for someone else.

To get that top price for used Predator cues, the cue must be in very good condition and buyers were not convinced this had only ten racks on it.
That tip has more than ten racks on it.

The seller didn't help things out by claiming a new one sells for $920 when it sells for $790
The seller shouldn't have the minimum bid price the same as the fair sale price (presuming it was in very good condition). With that high minimum-bid price, no auction fever occurs.
11.8mm that's the most unpopular size.
It was a 11.8mm Revo and the 12.4 and 12.9mm Revos sell for more.
LATEST NEWS: Top bid now at $606 including shipping cost. Bidding ends January 1st

One other thing, if you've ever watched "higher end" items like motorcycles, cues, etc., it seems to me like this time until taxes start rolling in is the low point in the year for this type of sales. There's just too much to buy for the holidays for the average person so they are broke until tax refunds come in.

I bought this butt new for $370 and matched it up with a $158 12.4 Rhino.
I like this $528 cue, No Shipping No Tax.
How easy is it to tell the shaft is not a Revo?
No dealer sells the Sport 2 butt alone, correct?
What do you mean no shipping, no tax? Doesn't Rhino charge for shipping? Who sells new without tax?

Shafts are labeled
PoolDawg and Syberts were selling Butt only.
No Ship on $99 +
no tax is more difficult today but it does happen

"Why?"

Who buys used shit for big bucks from unknown sources with this disclaimer:
Seller does not accept returns. ?
