Very Nice Clausing

Here is a very nice lathe near Houston if anyone is interested. Not mine. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Hmmmm. It could be mine. :)

Oh yeah. He was asking 3K. That is a deal for this lathe.

That is a really nice lathe. I don't need another lathe but if I did it would be worth a trip from Cincinnati to pick up.

C'mon down Dick. I'll help you load it up. Stay with us and you can save on the Hotel bill too. :D

Seriously I hope there is a potential cuemaker here that can use it. I really will help you load it.

I've got nine lathes now and I'm just getting to old to be investing in any more equipment. A new cuemaker could do no better than to aquire that lathe though. Good shape, dependable, plenty fast enough, large enough for all work but not so large to be a problem moving, American made and a decent price. If life could always be this nice I wouldn't be such a grumpy old man.

Nice lathe

That is a nice lathe and I have to admit that I am half thinking about it, Houston being just an overnight run, one day if I am pushed.

I can't help noticing that the lathe seems to have had more than it's share of crashes and I also would like to know about the quality of the bearings that replaced the originals. Bearings make a lathe.

You might give your friend my e-mail and we will talk to each other.

I do not know this guy. I keep an eye out for tools and I saw his ad. You will have to make contact via CL.
