Pretty pessimistic huh? Seen it more times than I can count and I'm not even 30 years old yet. Welcome to the pool world.
typical redneck out look on life, sounds as you have already fell into that life stile. example[ tiger wood] his father was his coach to start and he turned out pretty good. [and that is all i have to say about that] STICKcubc said:Until his dad dies, the kid ends up thinking hes better than he is, gets into some long gambling endurance matches and loses to a chemical player, starts to do it himself next time, loses his talent, and ends up like a million other crackhead use to bes.

why in the he** did you not say that in the first place i have know him long time- he shoot a lot with my gradson at the rail he is great kid .so lay off!!!cubc said:Earl has nothing to lose. He's a great. I wouldnt be surprised if he let that kid win to help the kids career out. People wouldnt change their opinion of earl if he won or lost but it may change the perspective for landon. Earl is classy enough to do that. Just like allison fisher with the IPT to help pool. I dont mean to be offensive but it's not like hes the first kid to be a great potential. The fact is things change when you get older and a lot of things can influence. If he turns out great then cool but sorry to let you guys down I'm not a redneck I've just been around a lot of great players and up and comers and have seen what can happen.
Be offended if you want but I've seen some sad things happen to good potentials... including my ex-scotch doubles partner. A lot of what I seen is what influenced me to stop trying to go pro and do it for a living and go to college instead and then make a lot of money that way then play pool on the side.
You can compare him to Tiger Woods which is a good comparison actually but like I said there are a LOT of good playing kids out there and people that were that good that will get to experience the other world other than just pocketing balls.
edit: lol go ahead and negative rep all you want because you dont agree. That's the mature thing to do. Real players that's been around and seen the game will understand. Those of you who have a table in your house and think you know something just wont understand but theres that bad rep button so press away.

His stroke looked a lot better in practice:

Of course, he could beat me one-handed with his eyes closed.
