Video: Archer's lining up a shot. Earl, 3 games behind, begins his sharking moves

The difference is that Archer was not doing it as a sharking move against Earl (in my opinion). I think that is just how Archer plays, and I know there are much slower players then him out there. Earl needs to learn to relax, and have some patience.

No.

Slow play is the number one reason people dont watch pool.

If you're too damn stupid to figure out what to do in 30 seconds, then find a different hobby

I hate slow play, but I don't think it is the #1 reason people don't watch pool. People still don't watch pool when it is on TV, even with a shot-clock.

I do agree, however, that if you actually did get a non-pool player to watch, slow play like Archer would turn them off.

LOL..... nice video.

Johnny has more moves than ex-lax. He's the only one sharking here.

If you watch the entire match with Wiseman and Archer, Wiseman won hill/hill....Archer tried to shake hands and Wiseman wanted nothing to do with Archer...
Archer was interviewed after the match and played it down what he did and said Wiseman played bad and he don't see how what he did could shark Wiseman..

Johnny's always been a jerk in my book...Seen him many times in Vegas and always a jerk...Unless he is winning...When he's not, he's a jerk...Never liked him...

So, if you can't beat them, join them? People need to learn to be better and more considerate and respectful. But no, most just care about themselves. They will do anything to have even the slightest bit of an advantage to win.
Nah, of course not. If that was my attitude I would have said **** it, I'm going to instead of tempted to

Archer is a PAIN to watch. It's sad, really, because he is a great player that makes good choices usually (not in this case). He just murders any fun that could possibly be had, watching the game. When he was young he shot fast, and he shot well, and I think he is perfectly capable of doing that now, as well. I'm not at all convinced that the stalling and slow playing that he and others do, are not perfectly intentional and designed to get players out of their rhytm!

I've defended Earl on here plenty of times. He was disrespectful here, and often is. However it's very hard to feel bad for Johnny Archer here.

I don't know about a fist to the mouth, but it was clearly unsportsmanlike conduct. With a referee present and watching the shot, Johnny had no business approaching the table at all, let alone at the time he did.

Agreed. Shark move. He should have been sternly warned by the ref, at the very least. IMO a one game penalty should have been given as well.
